Was Brewster vs Klitschko a dissapointment?

Maybe. Klitschko fans may have got revenge but the KO they were looking for in the 7th round did not come. Emanuel predicted a 7th round knockout and the end of the 6th looked like one might be produced. It would have been a sweet birthday gift for Emanuel whose birthday falls on 7-7-07 this year.

Lamon's trainer told him he was going to stop the fight if he didn't produce. Here is the punch that finished it with 15 sec to go in the 6th:

If that isn't working try http://www.youtube.com/rikd7 then scroll down to the clip "Vlad's right that ended the fight".

Lamon's trainer stopped the fight before the 7th round to save his fighter from more heavy shots like that one. Lamon just didn't have the fire today that kept him going in the first fight.

I didn't understand it at all. Klitschko hurt Brewster way more in just 2 rounds in the first fight than he did in 6 this time. Me and my brother were so dissappointed with Brewster. We didn't think he'd win, but we thought he was just trying to hang around til the 8th round or so to make his move. Instead, he just quits on his stool. No resistance whatsoever. I'm guessing that detached retina has him thinking about his life now. Whatever. Not Klitschko's fault at all.

I thought we'd get some excitement in just two more rounds (Klitschko knocking Brewster down, maybe out once Brewster made his move), but Buddy pulled the plug, and Brewster agreed. Weak stuff.

I thought it was a horrible fight. I don't know if Wlad became THAT good but it looked like Brewster just didn't have ANYTHING. He tried to rush Wlad twice and paid the price by Wlad landing a few huge right hands right when Brewster opened up. I expected a lot more out of this fight, Brewster just ****ing quit and he's never done that before. Like I said, either Wlad became that good or Liakhovich ****ed Brewster up for good. Good performance by Wlad, horrible by Brewster.

brewster was so static and so easy to hit with the jab but i think wlad should have tried to go for the kill. he hardly threw any uppercuts and right hands he needed to open up on brewster and he would have knocked him out

There would have been a KO if the fight had continued another round or two - Manny and Wlad's plan was to try to KO Brewster in the 7th, after slowing him down for the kill with all the jabs in the first 6 rounds.

But Lamon's health is more important than whatever entertainment we would get from seeing him KOed. So, it's good that they stopped the fight when they did - Lamon may have been hurt.

Lamon moved quickly and threw more punches in the first round, but by the third he'd been hurt so many times by Wlad's hard jabs that he slowed down, and was an easy target for Wlad from then on. Wlad knocking him out would have proved nothing - it was very clear by the 3rd round who was going to win the fight, so there was no certainly no point in continuing past the 6th round with Brewster having taken such a beating.

Personally I love seeing a guy get jabbed to death and if the fight went on Brewster would have gotten hurt. I wasn't disappointed, some people may not like boxers but I love seeing them fight.

A little bit, I was hoping to see a big KO, which would've happened by the
8th or 9th round the way the fight was going. This fight was a total mismatch, just like the first fight, which now seems to be a fluke, as I always said. Im not taking anything away from Brewster, he's a great guy and has heart he just isnt at Wlad's level.
