Most black people in this country and on this board dont exactly put their faith in any black heavyweights to even care to be honest. Most black people in this country couldnt even likely name a black heavyweight whos active. I dont even see any heavyweight avatars other than Toney/Tyson/Holyfield and i remember some guy having briggs and thats it. I think your thinking too much into it.

You didn't read my post apparently. I said nothing about 'most black people in the country', nor did I suggest that the members here back any black heavyweights. What they do is discredit the entire division, since 7 of the top 10 and about 15 of the top 20 are white Europeans. Do you think these guys have actually downloaded all of Povetkin's and Boytsov's fights and made an informed decision about their qualities?

They discredit the division because at the top are trash. Who cares about the prospects?

Klistchko is a decent fighter. Sam Peter is a poor man's Tyson. Maskaev is trash. Chagaev seems OK, but nothing special. Valuev is garbage. Ibragimov is garbage. Liakhovich is garbage. Byrd would have never been a top 10 fighter in any respectable era.

There were better HWs in the 80s regardless of race...

1 the last time i checked and everyone discrediting that win as Haye was fighting a 'Tomato Can' apparently.

Haye has had how many fights at heavyweight?

Only a few, Bonin and a couple of other tomato cans a few years ago. But he's said he's now going to fight exclusively at heavyweight and has given up his WBC cruiserweight title. The WBC has already announced he's being ranked in their top ten at heavyweight.

Haye has reportedly bulked up to 235 pounds.

Well, if he comes in and starts knocking people out, he could make it exciting again, but it's still a weak division until we get legit champions and contenders
