Well, first of all, how do you know the identity of the posters? Sin could be black, most of the guys here could be black, you don't know.

Second, you have to read into the thread, you may not believe it but this thread is just another way to discredit the foreigners(and in this case mostly the eastern europeans, who are white), now you can choose either one: ethnocentristic argument or racial argument, both could easily be implied by the thread.

Third of all, you seem to be defensive of the black posters(which is OK to the degree) and incidentally you quoted my post, is it because you think that I implied that black posters in this thread are racey?

Well, as I said, the first one to scream "racism" are usually racists(not in all cases, but quite often in more ambigious cases where the situation can be interpreted in many ways) but it does not mean that racist or gruntly nationalist views were not expressed.

what it comes down to is people trying to read certain people's minds. someone can get the idea that someone who supported brewster against klitschko is a racist. but since we do not know the person, than it's hard to say. i know i sure as hell didn't think brewster would win.

I mean, would not you?

In fact, on this very same forum it was an unspoken tabu(or is it taboo?) to be critical about ANY black fighter(and especially a fighter of the past) if you were white. Unless he was way too crappy of a fighter, people would jump on your case and scream "racism". And it is still here.


Edit: it was more or less acceptable to be critical about fighter right after his bad performance and even then you have a good chance of people labeling you racist or whatever.

The simple fact that most blacks have more racist tendancies than whites was proven in a double blind study done at a couple of schools about 10 years ago (it isn't the only source). as far as crime goes, that's easy, the after effects of being de humanized for hundreds of years and racism, against blacks has us now on the low end of the economy in terms capital. not that hard to figure out, can't become a millionaire when you are a slave. the poor neighborhoods, whether black or white, have more crime, it's that simple.

We had the land my great grandparents homesteaded when they first came to this country, and nothing else. Poverty is no ****ing excuse.

and since there is a dispropotionate amount of black poor people and white poor people, in terms of "percentages" then there is a disproportianate amount of crime in terms of percentages.

as far as your first comment about your study. well, it's simple, how would you feel about a particular person if his family ****ed over your family for about 400 years? i'd say you would be justified in hating the other person. i would not say it is necessarily right. alas, there are studies and arguments that probably counter the study you've been exposed to, so there is no definitive answer and hardly "proves" that blacks are more racist than whites.

i didn't say poverty was an excuse for crime. i did say that it is a big factor in crime. i've not studied statistics and such, but i'm sure i can bring up studies that show a correlation between the two. one thing i am almost positive of, is that blacks do not commit crime because they are black.

there are all sorts of studies coming out showing that blacks and whites and whatever race you throw in the mix are not genetically different enough to be a different race. i hear it is a term that is not used in mainstream science. so i come to the conclusion that there are a bunch of factors why someone may commit a crime, but "race" is not a factor. that is ridiculous.

i am a college student majoring in film and television. when i took my english placement test, my scores were in the 90's. i also placed second in a spelling bee ONLY because i ****ed up on an easy word. it's safe to say, my grammar is pretty good. i don't think forums come with spell check. all first posts are rough drafts and people do make mistakes.

as far as this topic goes in terms of race, i notice certain white posters, the same ones, tend to make the topic that way. "oh they are just jealous of a white champion" etc. Making the topic turn into complete crap and into an argument that will never have a resolution since certain posters agenda goes far beyond boxing.
