Do Gold Medals Mean Jack **** Anymore?

I see guys like Arreola, Lacy, & Povetkin to name a few...that have gold medals and suck ass. Is this the new trend that gold medalists end up to be lackluster hype machines?

1st time I saw Lacy I was like...wtf this guy blows. Arreola...I just found out he got a medal...when I 1st saw him I was like...another fat blob in boxing....now hes got a gold medal?

Povetkin...more hype...he couldnt even put a old Donald to pasture. Donald was seriously a heavy bag that night. Alexander should have done much much better that night.

I hope this isnt the new trend, cuz that will hurt us as a sport. We have to keep it strong against the eyes of adversity...which is MMA.

Cristobal Arreola never won a gold medal at the Olympics, Odlanier Solis did.

They changed the scoring in the olympics, and in my opinion, no, the gold isn't as important on a resume as it once was.

                  different trainers different rules.

another thing in the olpymics is that many fighters dont use power and some fighter when starting pro and feel there power they get ****y and abadon there boxing skills. as well as you got the veteran fighters who been fighting for quit sometimes.

many factors it like this, If a person wins a gold medal it gives him a hype but doesnt gurantee for him to become a champion at pro. but olympic experince is nice to have because you have the basic movement and counterpunch things but that goes away if you dont train them.
