Quite frankly, I don't know how I became a boxing fan. It would probably take psychoanalysis to unlock that. However, I do know I've been a boxing fan for as far back as I can remember. The first significant fight I recall attending was for the lightweight title between champion Carlos Ortiz of Puerto Rico and Ismael Laguna of Panama, in Panama City. Laguna upset the champion with a unnanimous decision. And the rest, as they say, is history...Last edited by Panamaniac; 07-04-2007, 09:22 AM.Comment

I can remember watching Brunos fights as a kid in the early 80s with my dad hes heavily into boxing. My dad brought me up watching all the all time greats. I started going to the gym when I was 10 in 88 and wanted to fight like Tyson did lol I've been into it ever since and always will be.
I've always been into boxing history aswell, I can remember my great grandad telling me about how great Jack Dempsey, Joe Louis etc were.Last edited by porlie; 07-04-2007, 09:00 AM.Comment

ive always liked the thought of boxing or fighting.. remember when i was 7-9, sometimes watching tyson on tv, and later watched the danish fighters, but yet on a rather not so hardcore way..
personally always been a little agressive, and while drinking and partying, alcohol and a hot head just dont combine well, so i got in trouble with the law..
as i got older and in my 20īs i tried boxing, and while fighting in the streets was easy i found boxing to be goddamn difficult.. my respect for those entering the ring, just kept rising, and from being one of those shouting for a ko, im a changed man..
ive got mad respect for any fighter, willing to step in the ring.. as said before, from shouting for a ko, i now find myself trying to analyse fights, and thereby getting a much much more comprehensive understanding of the art..Comment
