Yeah, hamed had some natural talent, but he was one unschooled fighter. I know this will cause a rukus but here it goes.

      most hyped of all time:
      1. RJJ
      2. Hamed
      3. Mayweather
      4. Lennox Lewis (how many greats had two one punch ko losses on their records)
      5. Gerry Cooney

Michael Grant, he was suppose to be like a heavy weight version of Roy Jones

I give credit to His work at middle, but common man. At light heavey the man made a circus out of the sport. I mean at one point he had to join a semi pro basketball team just to justify the opponent he was fighting!

The guy was bored. He dominated everyone in front of him and won a HW belt which wasnt done in 106 years. He got caught playing w/weight and payed the price. If he never got KO'd his name would have never made this thread.

Maybe, but he did get Kayod twice by two guys that will never be considered great. I don't hate roy jones. Infact i believe he could have been one of the greatest ever, but the fact is he chose a different path. The man had ATG talent, but the dice didn't go his way!

My point is he was hyped in that he refused to take the hard road-probably because of the Mclellan thing. He could have but he lacked the heart to risk himself when it came time. Maybe the overhyped is wrong, but he definatly could have done way more to solidify his place in history!
