also because of the hand but you gotta wonder if it woulda been any different if that didnt happen
I think Clottey may very well have bested Antonio if not for the hand injury.

if Cotto beats Margarito then i think hes fighting Mosley.

if Williams beats Margarito, I think hes fighting Mosley.

Josh Clottey has good hand speed, a tight defense, and a nice left hook upstairs and down. He can put punches together well, but you rarely see him put more than two on top of his jab.

Clottey's problem in a fight with Cotto is the aspect of his game that gave him problems with that kid Gutierrez. He tends to cover up without throwing back, just letting his opponent **** on him. That's a huge no-no against Cotto...an excellent body puncher who is infinitely more skilled than Richard Gutierrez. Since Clottey isn't very dangerous with his right hand and he doesn't seem to have one punch knockout power, I think he'd have a LONG night with Miguel Cotto, who has shown great conditioning and determination in every Welterweight fight he has been in.

Cotto by decision. Clottey is pretty damn tough so I don't see a stoppage here.
He actually can put his punches together, thats something he worked on for the Corrales fight, and he really did improve his combo punching on the inside.

So masterful that he was disqualified for unsportsmanly tactics against poor, poor Carlos Baldomir :P.

I think Cotto would take this, but it could be close.

Ppl say Clottey has a great deffense because of his peek a boo style, tailor made for Cotto's body punches. Cotto by mid fight KO.

Well this is looking way past the present, this is if Cotto makes it past Williams/Margarito which both guys will be tough guys for Cotto, I think Cotto can beat both of them but still its like 60/40 in favor of Cotto, its not like he will run over these guys, and if he beats either of these guys im sure he can beat Joshua, I personaly think Williams and Margarito are better than Joshua, Joshua is good but he like someone said on this post he like to cover up and not throw, he like to take breaks, you cant do that with Cotto becusae Cotto keeps pressing the action and cutting of the ring and forces you to fight, sure he has great hand speed but his hands and power arent as good as Judahs(in reference to Joshuas hand speed)

The second they put Cotto in w/someone that can stand there and **** and not run its lights out for Cotto. He'll be like how Judah is now, career wise.

That uppercut from Judah had Cotto reeling. Everytime Judah landed you could see a big effect on Cotto.

Clottey TKO 7. Provided he doesnt break his hand. He throws hard-quick-short combos and has a monster physique...tough enough I think to take Cottos body shots.

After the Judah fight I'm convinced hes got a bum chin.
