    Miguel Cotto vs. Joshua Clottey

If Cotto beats the Margarito vs. Williams winner is this a fight the public would like to see? Who would win or has the better chance of winning this fight if it were made?

I'd pick Clottey. Clottey has a great defense, and he has great stanima.

He would beat Cotto with his great combo's on the inside. His hand speed is better than Cotto's and i think he would catch Cotto with a huge uppercut at one point in the fight.

Style wise, this is a nightmare for Cotto.

shouldnt clottey get a decent win first before fighting cotto? why would cotto beat the margarito/williams winner only to fight a guy that margarito beat? let clottey fight sugar shane or someone. clottey needs a good win

actually clotteys stamina is suspect...a lil earlier in his career he had tendency to slow down at the end of fights

that being said itd be an interesting fight because clottey is actually bigger than cotto yet cotto would be the aggressor in the fight

clottey has potential to rock cotto with counters but cotto could wear him down by going to the body

              Gotta go with Cotto.

Josh Clottey has good hand speed, a tight defense, and a nice left hook upstairs and down. He can put punches together well, but you rarely see him put more than two on top of his jab.

Clottey's problem in a fight with Cotto is the aspect of his game that gave him problems with that kid Gutierrez. He tends to cover up without throwing back, just letting his opponent **** on him. That's a huge no-no against Cotto...an excellent body puncher who is infinitely more skilled than Richard Gutierrez. Since Clottey isn't very dangerous with his right hand and he doesn't seem to have one punch knockout power, I think he'd have a LONG night with Miguel Cotto, who has shown great conditioning and determination in every Welterweight fight he has been in.

Cotto by decision. Clottey is pretty damn tough so I don't see a stoppage here.

good evaluation. guitierrez was getting to him and definitely won some rounds. also tapped him to the body with hooks. clotteys tough but i see a late stoppage here, caused by cottos constant bodywork. cotto TKO10

only way cotto can win fights is by low blowing right? well clottey is the master of illegal warfare. even cotto has to tip his cap to the master and then lose by ko
