100% correct. But you can say it 1000 times and still hear the same crap from the same people.

true but you can excuse boxing fans for there ignorance because their sport has been around longer. So of course they will be ignorant to a 10 year old sport.

But what is not excusable is for mma fans to show ignorance to boxing and not try at least to get to learn the history because it just shows hypocrites.

TO not know **** about boxing and it has been around 100 years is pretty ignorant.

I think it goes either way if mma fans want boxing fans to accept them then they should try to learn about boxing...but i never seen an mma fan besides myself go into boxing and enjoy watching it coming from an mma fan background.

thats why I give props to randy couture.

Good point again. Exposure to the actual training is the key, IMO. At our gym we have both, and at a professional level. You see some pure BJJ guys saying how BJJ is the ****, nothing can beat it, etc., when they see the boxers train, they usually say, 'damn, I do not want to get hit by that!'. On the flip side, some of the boxers have that 'no one could take me down, its all gay hugging, etc' stuff. Then they see the BJJ guys train and say like, 'wow. If he gets me down I am in big trouble'.

Those who actually train, and watch the 'other side' train, usually come away with respect for the other sport.

Manny Pacquiao is always polite. That is a good way to avoid alienating the customers.
