Hatton then went up to 147 and chose the weakest beltholder there, Collazo. There were better beltholders like Margarito, Cintron, and Baldomir but Hatton chose the weakest of the 4. This was a good choice in hindsight as Hatton would have probably been knocked out cold by the other three seeing as Hatton couldn't handle light-hitting Collazo's power.

When Collazo sent Hatton back to 140, Hatton once again chose the weakest beltholder in Urango. Urango got a gift decision to win the title in an outright robbery of Ben Rabah and Urango had never beaten a name opponent in his 18-fight career.

Why does Hatton always go after the worst titleholders?
i never thought of it that way before but your right. he even cherry picked castillo because he had a name. i think hatton knew he was shot before they fought.

Hatton has handpicked every fighter he has ever faced. His career was moved so carefully it's ridiculous. He waited nearly 10 years into his career until the champion, Tszyu, was past his prime to fight him. He then goes on to face the weakest titleholders while avoiding the best fighters at 140 (Witter) and 147 (Mayweather)...

hatton called tszyu out in 2002 when kostya was in hes prime . hatton said he has the perfect gameplan to beat tszyu its not hes problem he had to wait 2 years to be installed as the number 1 challenger.

Like he calls out Mayweather and ducks him when it's time to negotiate? That sounds like typical Hatton...

Mayweather's advisor told Hatton to sign the contract. Hatton didn't even have the balls to call out Mayweather on HBO...

What contract? Mayweather's golf caddy didn't come out with any specifics for this contract. How much was it for? What was Hatton's guarantee? Where was the fight to be held? What weight? I would assume 147 but without seeing the contract I could only guess. In legal terms you need something called a "contract" in order to sign a contact.

Whenever Hatton calls out Mayweather his fans get all pissy "ooh why can Hatton call out Mayweather?". It doesn't take any balls to call out a fighter after you've just laid someone out on the canvas.
