I hope you're joking. Boxers train harder then any other athlete.

Maybe in camp. Some of them are notoriously lazy when in off-time.

Most of them do. You can tell when you see a fighter respond to a certain thing in one way because they know fighter A like to do this and respond another way to fighter B because they know from watching his tape he likes to do this instead.

Most do, if they say they don't and rely on there trainer to go through the tapes - then that is proberbly true. In one form or the other they are both USING the tapes.

Besides, surely Floyd will have seen his opponents fight before at the very least! Floyd would obviously be a boxing fan himself - i'm sure he's seen most of his opponents live before, and if not watched them on tv. I bet he has appeared upon the undercards or his opponents have appeared on his undercards before aswell.

Hatton apparently watched over 200 hours of Castillo footage in preparation of their fight.

nah!! surely not! Where does it say that?!

there can't be 200 hours of footage of him! at the very most, each fight would be 12x3= 36 minutes - this not taking into account the fact his earliest fights would be 4/6 or 8 rounds... and taking into account for early stoppages. He would have no way accumulated that much fight footage. Castillo would have had 350 fights or something!

Unless your on about footage of sparring and training... or amatuer fights...

but what would be the point!?

Maybe it was 200 hours, including re-watching the same fight over and over again perhaps?

Steve Bunce said it during the Setanta Sports coverage.

Fair enough, it might be true. Or he could be exaggerating. I'm sure nobody was actually counting the amount of film they viewed.

Perhaps they spent 200 hours as in... "we spent a week and a half watching these videos".
