If you want to see some good MMA watch some Pride events. In my opinion they were lightyears ahead of UFC..Bummer that they went out of business.

There's something really special about the sweet science. Watching a boxer who is able to fight and not get hit a lot. Stick and move, jab, jab, hook......ahhh.

With all due respect, you have obviously never tried learning any grappling from a legit coach. I totally appreciate the 'sweet science', I love a guy who can make boxing look like an art form. But unless you grapple, it is hard to appreciate the intricacies of grappling. There are not many things as scary as being on the ground with a good grappler and not knowing what to do. It's a truly helpless feeling.

Go bother someone else. You're dumb as a log, and you need to leave here before I burn you.

But lets be honest. You're involved in the sport. The "crowd" may not appreciate the grappling as much as you do. I do respect the grappling though. But the original ufc came out to be a raw carnage type of sport. I know where you're coming from ..... just like the boxing "crowd" may want to see a knock out at every fight.

Apples and Oranges. MMA fighters aren't skilled boxers because they are constantly training in different disciplines. Wrestling, Ju Jitsu, Muhi Thai (spelling is a little iffy there...), etc.

I've always enjoyed watching UFC. I just don't understand why people like to compare it to boxing alot. Their two different sports so one can't be better than the other. Lets be real. If you put a MMA fighter in a boxing match he'll lose. Same situation goes for a boxer in a MMA match. The reason why is that the biggest asset needed to win the matches in either sport will be useless in either match. All a boxer is trained to do is footwork and how to punch. They don't get trained on that grappling and submission **** so if they would get in the ring with a fighter that can rush them and take em down their done. Same situation for MMA fighters. Only thing they can depend on is punches which will not help them that much. All I'm saying is that people need to stop trying to compare them and just enjoy what each sport has to offer.
