Most Hatton fans aren't sheer boxing fans, they are Man City soccer fans.

And yeah Joe Calzaghe in the last 18 months has been on terrestrial TV and Lacy was described as the new Mike Tyson.

      Whaaat??

His highest-ever viewing figure is 350,000 (there are 60+ million people in Britain). He has had a lot of coverage in the last few months (esp the last few months), though. But before that I didn't know anybody outside of boxing and die-hard boxing fans who had ever heard of him.

Audley Harrison and Amir Khan are far, far bigger names, astronomically bigger names.

Maybe due to their TV deals. It's hard for me to be objective about Hatton's fame. Let's just say that everyone in East Manchester knows of him and that's where my family is from.

I saw Audley up in Canada at an amateur boxing event a couple of weeks ago. I didn't get to meet him though.

            LIAR.

Calzaghe-Bika had 1.9 million watching. Audley Harrison-Danny Williams had 8 million.

            Hatton's highest-ever viewing figure is 350,000.

And yes, Hobson got him on the Jonathon Ross and did you not notice (or were you too taken up in your warped boxing world) that nobody knew who the **** he was and how the atmosphere was strange as ****?

Hatton is huge in Manchester, yes, but not in London at all. When he fought Oliveira, there were tonnes of coach-loads of Mancs coming down, all the tickets sold were to Mancs!

Im sorry if you think Amir Kahn sells more than Hatton you are deluded, Hatton would sell 30k constantly from now on, Kahn is on undercards constantly, I would say Hatton's fights before PPV were in the 3-6 million bracket, jesus Villa vs Bolton on sky sports gets 9 million. Calzaghe gets **** loads on ITV and sold 35k tickets vs a reality tv boxer.

Amir Khan wouldn't sell more tickets than Hatton, but he's a household name - millions watched his Olympic fights. 6 million watched his last amateur fight against Kindelan.

And Hatton on Sky Sports 2 in the 3-6 million bracket!! You're just plain being a complete ****ing psycho, mate. Most of his viewing figures were in the 200,000-250,000 bracket. Calzaghe never had as many 200,000 viewers, which he stated in a recent interview, and said how he was never once stopped or spotted in London prior to his ITV exposure.

Calzaghe defeated Australian brawler Sakio Bika at the MEN Arena, Manchester, and the average number of people tuned in to the IBF/WBO title bout was 4.1 million over the brutal 12 rounds.
come back with something decent next time Juy and stop living in the eubank era.
