Just rewatched DOUGLAS-TYSON on ESPN CLASSIC

My spine shivers after every round. Especially when LAMPLEY, MERCHANT and LEONARD called it. AFter the first round, Merchant said "...and i actually GAVE that round to DOUGLAS!!!"

chilling. The whole fight was just unbelievable.

I was thinking of some other moments in boxing that give me chills. Corrales-Castillo ROUND 10, Hagler-Hearns ROUND 1, and Louis-Shmelling ROUND 12. Those moments in boxing were beyond amazing and broke every expectation or assumption any fan had ever made on those fights.

But those dont even compare to Douglas-Tyson

Not only was Buster's knockout victory a great moment in boxing based on the magnitude of the circumstances, it was also one of the most punishing combination knockouts ever administered.

i keep feeling better and better for douglas. He worked hard for that fight and earned his 15 minutes of fame the hardest way.

A baseball player earns theres with one swing of the bat, a boxer earns it over many grueling and physically taxing rounds of boxing

I'm sure all the people he's either rapped or beaten up feel sorry for him too.

Yeah because baseball players don't practice their swing for years either. Hitting a baseball is one of the hardest things in sports. But regardless, I understand your point. Just had to throw in my 2 cents.

Dont get me wrong, I felt happy for Douglas and all but I would have felp alot happier if he could have actually held onto the belt that Tyson had for so long...

It's like seeing such a great champion like Tyson fall and cant get up that makes me feel sorry for him. I guess it just comes down to how much of a fan I am of Tyson's that makes me feal sorry for him

Yeah this was a sad fight in many ways. Tyson not coming prepared and boxing like **** (going for the knockout and not using head movement, etc). Tyson's inept corner. And Tyson getting battered like a rag doll the whole fight before he gets layed out. Props to Douglas who fought an amazing fight, too bad he wasn't as motivated when he fought Holyfield.

I thought it was funny how in the beginning the announcers were saying we should note that there was a huge crowd, because we might not have noticed because chinese people don't cheer very laud.
