I say Cintron goes at it with Josha Clottey. **** tho he might get knocked out by Matthysse.
Yeah i dont really rate him either!!! He has very limited boxing skills and is not in the class of the other champs in his weight division!!!

I think Cintron is underrated because of his lost against Margarito which people only remeber and he is a different fighter now then back then. He is becoming more of Wlad style which is good for him and he uses his jab more effectivly.

about the Mosely fight Mosely choose to fight Callzao instead of Cintron as it was first planned.

Cintron is improving every fight why most people judge a fighter from his loss they should judge from his attiude and last couple of fights because there you could know hoe good it the fighter is doing

When I was reading this thread, I was thinking that he reminds me of Wlad. Not necessarily because of how he fights, though they are vaguely similar, but because he's also a kid who got his confidence blown. He's a great fighter, lots of power to spare, just isn't matured yet. I'm going to watch him for a few years, see what happens. I don't think he's overrated, he has LOADS of potential. If he matures in the right way, he could become something spectacular.

Does anyone remember how easily Williams beat Matthysse? Does anyone remember how Matthysse looked that night?
He was Mayorga-esque, except slower and with less power.

Cintron should win easy. If he doesn't, he's finished. If he wins easy, it proves very little. I do like Kermit, though, and I like Steward as his trainer, so with a big win July 14 that sets up possibilites vs. Mosley and Cotto (if Williams beats Margo) and perhaps even Judah. All good fights IMO.

Watch Williams-Matthysse again. Matthysse was hitting Williams pretty much at will with wild power shots early in that fight. Then Matthysse was exhasted by about the 4th round and then Williams pt it on him. Matthysse punched the **** out of Williams until he was tired. Williams proved he had a good chin in that fight, thats it. His power isnt good at all, he stopped Matthysse on his feet late in the fight after Matthysse was absolutely done and exhausted for like 6 rounds. Williams also showed very bad defense in that fight, i wa shocked at how easily Matthysse was catching him early.

I agree with your assessment of the fight, and I think it's an indictment of Williams' defense and finishing ability more than an approval of Matthysse's skill or talent. But it is also an indictment of Matthysse's power. Unless Williams has a chin like Mayorga, he just doesn't hit that hard, so Cintron shouldn't have much of a problem with him.

                  also very true

I dont think Matthysse will be able to hit Cintron like he was hitting Williams. But I dont know if Cintron can take the shots if he is hit with some. Matthysse has a good KO ratio but against bums and he hit Williams with everything but the kitchen sink. Is Williams chin that good? or is Matthysse's power not that good? and he got his great KO ratio strictly by fighting bums?

Either way, Cintron should beat Matthysse. Then i think it is time for him to make a move. He should take on Clottey after Matthysse. Fights against Mark Suarez and Walter Matthysse arent proving anything. **** he should fight Carlos Quintana. Quintana expressed that he wanted to fight Cintron a long time ago when he was fighting on ESPN.

I dont think Cintron is over or under rated. I think he gets the credit he deserves. He did get touched way too much against by Estrada though. That guy is like a in-house trainer @ some hotel or resort in Florida and ****.

Hes got alot to prove still. The names on his record are lackluster, but his record is good. 27-1-25...lotta KO's.

Steward is the right guy for him atm and he needs to handle Matthysse in a convincing style for his market share to increase.
Yea i know his head wasnt in the game, but whos fault is that? His head should have been in the game going into the biggest fight of his career. If he didnt feel ready he sholdnt have done it. Im not sure if he has improved or not because he hasnt fought anyone on Margaritos level since they fought and his fights look the same as before. He has a lot of trouble with Estrada too. Only time will tell i guess.

Cintron/Clottey is perfect. I hope that goes down if he wins in July.
