Kermit Cintron, whats this cat doing?

He won his title from that bum Suarez. Suarez is garbage and the only thing good about him is his last name. That had no right to be a title fight. Now he is fighting Walter Matthysse. He pulled out of a Mosley fight. Whats this cat doing? He needs to make a move. With Cotto going for Margarito and Hatton and Mayweather being a possibility what can he do? I say Cintron goes at it with Josha Clottey. **** tho he might get knocked out by Matthysse.

      ok...........??

So anyway, what do you guys think about Cintron? Overrhyped? Underrated? Can he hang with the top competition?

I dont think hes legit at all. I feel bad saying it with him being Puerto RIcan but I dont think hes that good. Hes a world champion and has never beat a world class fighter. Hes lucky. He fought Margarito and got his ass kicked.

Walter Matthysse is a pretty serious defence. An impressive win there would give him some serious credit.
A struggle that he barely edges will keep him as a fallback position for any of the majors in the division.
A loss pretty well finishes him.

If he gets past Matthysse, would like to see him fight Mosley.
If Mosley can't get Cotto, Cintron probably the biggest fight for him while waiting for PBF or Margarito-Williams winner.

If that doesn't come off, would also like to see against Clottey, or Collazo if Clottey's unavailable.

I havent seen his last fight, but he is trained by Steward now and he spars with Taylor and Lee so maybe he is much better now.

Cintron had shoulder surgory before Margy and his head wasnt in the game. According to a interview I read, he alsmost quit boxing before that fight.

I dont think Cintron is over or under rated. I think he gets the credit he deserves. He did get touched way too much against by Estrada though. That guy is like a in-house trainer @ some hotel or resort in Florida and ****.

Hes got alot to prove still. The names on his record are lackluster, but his record is good. 27-1-25...lotta KO's.

Steward is the right guy for him atm and he needs to handle Matthysse in a convincing style for his market share to increase.

                  Saurez has power.

I think Cintron is underrated because of his lost against Margarito which people only remeber and he is a different fighter now then back then. He is becoming more of Wlad style which is good for him and he uses his jab more effectivly.

about the Mosely fight Mosely choose to fight Callzao instead of Cintron as it was first planned.

Cintron is improving every fight why most people judge a fighter from his loss they should judge from his attiude and last couple of fights because there you could know hoe good it the fighter is doing
