Because Manny is dumb as a box of rocks. If he had any sense whatsoever, he would have taken Barrera out already and be taking Marquez out in September. Instead, Barrera is still lingering around and Marquez is fighting Jorge Barrios in defense of whatever title he holds.

yeah mannys not exactly the best business man or the smartest with his money/contracts, BUT at this point its all OSCARS fault for not wanting to work with ARUM.

U can't just blame Pac. Remember when Pac said yes to a rematch while JMM said no back then. So its JMM's fault also.

JMM wanted more money back then. Now, its Pac wants the big money now.

So u can blame it on the money.

Yes, I'm wondering about that too. Didn't the WBC or whatever sanctioning body it was order the fight to take place? If so, then it should have gone to a purse bid, and it doesn't matter a **** what the promoters think about it.

The reason has been on this site for a while and in boxing news. Besides Top Rank vs. GBP. Pac doesn't want to take a pay cut being the challenger.

I dont think they really want this fight!!! If they did want it to happen it would!!! Pacman was awesome early in the 1st fight and Marquez was good in the later rounds!!! I hope they put it together!!!

im 100% sure that if ever TR and GBP would work together on the next pacquiao fight, it'll be against MAB. It's the biggest money earner pac fight and seeing that they must have lost huge amounts of money from litigations, they would want something back. JMM-PAC wouldn't bring the same amount of PPV buys.

Then after the two had their fill, that's the time jmm, guzman and soto will come in.

The fight that would make sense is Pacquiao vs Marquez. Barrera is past his best now.

Fellas, forget about Top Rank and GBP co-promoting on anything w/ PAC in it, atleast not for a single fight. There's not enough $$$ to go around to satisfy Arum and Schaeffer's greedy @sses even w/ a PAC - JMM or PAC - MAB fight.

You guys have to remember the PPV curve for both MAB and EM were around 300k. I think it would be different if it was DLH that was being fought over. then, I think the promoters would atleast give it some thought about co-promoting for one - night, there's a huge difference between 300k PPV buys vs. 900k to 1mil PPV buys.

I just cannot see this fight over PAC ending in an out of court settlement, there's a slim chance of it ending in a compromise in court, but the most likely ending to this is, its gonna go to trial and more parties are gonna come out of the woodworks(its already starting to happen) sucking more blood out of PAC.

I can see where a judge may rule or both parties come into an agreement were Arum gets to promote the first three PAC fights and GBP gets the next three.

Anyways, I see some of you blaming GBP for not wanting to put up a fight involving JMM or MAB against PAC. I don't think you can really blame GBP for their current stand, because once they agree w/ co-promoting w/ Arum, then they basically gave up their rights as far as being PAC's promoter. Who the hell would want to give up the biggest cash cow outside of DLH and Mayweather Jr.?
