  • Bigger Draw/Following.......Hatton or Floyd?

I would have to say Hatton hands down. The funny thing is, if Floyd/Hatton was to happen, and be held in Vegas, Hatton would have more fans than Floyd in Floyd home town! Imagine this fight being held in Manchester! Hatton sells out 50k seat arena's in a matter of hours. I say this fight should be held in Manchester. What are your thoughts?

So what man, you act like that really means something. Maybe it has to do with the fact that most Americans dont care about boxing anymore and in those other countries its still huge. I hate it when people say stuff like that like there isnt more to it.

It dont matter if its a 100% Hatton crowd and all the people in the world root against Floyd. Its only 2 fighters in that ring and Hatton will get his ass whooped and to think it will be most of his fans just makes it all the better. Floyd did kill Gatti in AC with 90% of the people for Gatti, you know? Alot of people think Collazo whooped Hatton with alot of Hatton's fans there. It means nothing. Infact, alot of times it can backfire agaisnt you because if you start struggling in front of your fans then you can hear the crowd get scared and your opponent will be like a monster while you will feel so down

Why do Floyd fans seem to be SOOO defensive when it comes to him? All i asked was: Who has a following/Draw? Its just crazy how the so-called #1pfp fighter in the world doesnt have a big fan base.

As for the selling part, I think you better check the PPV numbers. Dont act like Floyd is some punk. He's the #2 PPV guy in the sport right now and can definatly hold his own with anyone. No way they should fight in Manchester. The US is the main source for boxing. All these other places only have a few fighters. Americans dont come over because you guys havent proven anything. You only have like 3 good fighters. Beat one of the top guys over here and then you can get them to come. Until then you will just look 2nd rate. No, a green ass Lacy doesnt count and neither does a old, non american Tszyu. Beat Floyd and then people will come to Manchester all day. Tell Calzaghe to beat Hopkins and then people will come there but not until then. Winky already went there and destroyed all of your guys and so did Vivian

So if it doesn't matter why did you make a thread yesterday bashing Cotto for his PPV numbers against Judah and how he had no drawing power..blah blah blah.

So you think Hatton would be this huge star if he was born here and fought here his whole career? You think he would have that same following? You also think that if Floyd was born there, fought all his fights there, and was the #1 rated guy in the sport he wouldnt be loved even more then Hatton? Joke

Hatton caters to his fans, so yes! he would still be a huge star if he was born and fought here. Maybe not as big as he is now in Manchester, but definitly more popular than Floyd would ever be.

Manchester would have more people in attendance, but it doesn't mean it can outbid a Vegas casino for the site fee.

Casinos can afford very expensive site fees because the live gate is only part of the money they receive when there's a big fight. If 10,000 British fans come to Vegas for the fight, think of how much money the hotel gets from the reservations, restaurants, ********, etc...

I don't know how much the MEN arena makes for a Hatton fight but it would have to put up a lot of money to outbid a Vegas casino for the site fee.

HAtton has a much bigger fan base and those fans are much more dedicated than PBF's.....

If Mayweather fought in the UK ..how many fans would come over.....About 10.. Thats about how many he could get in his private jet...

Hatton could probably take 10,000 - 15,000 to the States against Mayweather...depending on where the fight was...

He has a bigger fan base becasue he is ...
More exciting to watch, (if you've watch more than his last couple of fight, before Castillo)

Has a great personality out side the ring and shows alot of respect to people and other fighters and appreciates his fans..

Always puts 100% effort even when things are getting tough...

Always tries to put on a good show for the fans..sometimes to his detriment..

The two simply do not compare......Hence the discrepancy in Fan base..

PS......Bollocks Collazo won Hatton....it was UD...don't know what fight you were watching....
Keep mentioning that, I'll just mention the first Castillo fight for PBF..... Which he lost in reality....but hey
