Spring 2008 is also around the time Vitali would fight the Maskaev-Peter winner, so this news actually may not delay a fully-unified champion after all, believe it or not. The winner of the Vitali-Peter/Maskaev fight would then be ready to fight for the other three belts by late summer/early fall 2008 (unless of course it's Vitali with the WBC and Wlad with the other three, then we'll have complete Klitschko unification).

It was going to take over a year to happen regardless, but if the cards all fall right, it can still get done relatively quickly.
In a perfect (boxing) world that scenario would easily play out. But, if you’re a fan of boxing my friend, then you know that perfect scenarios rarely play out how we want then to. All too often, promoters, managers, tv execs, etc. ‘hold up’ getting fights made in a timely fashion; just look at how long it took to get the Maskaev-Peter bout made! Throw in an unexpected injury and now you’re looking at a fight that should’ve happened in 3-4 months, now take place in 6-8 months.

My point is, this is boxing, so don't get your hopes up....

Besides Wlad's already beaten them both!

...Craziest **** I ever heard. Why would those two be in an eliminator to begin with? I agree with Technical Skill for maybe the first time ever. Wlad should just drop the IBF belt and go after the winner of Ibrag/Chag. It's a no brainer for him at this point.

I think that brock bryd could be an ok fight, shame its an eliminator for the ibf and not another one of the titles, back in the old days fighters used to fight each other a lot as long as wlad fight the winner quickly it would not be that bigger deal.

Does Wladimir make decisions for the sanctioning bodies? No he doesnt.

If they sanction this, then that's it. That is if its true.

For the record I do see Chris Byrd probably pulling out the win against Calvin Brock in a boring fight.
Your right peeps dont give Byrd the credit he deserves. I DONT wanna see Vlad crush him again though. Imagine if he beat him on the 3rd try? Gaha...doubt it. Wishfull thinking...maybe if Chris started listening to rap and ****...get a gangster edge.
