Mayweather: "Hatton Won't Take The Fight"

How are you going to prove it? OK I bet you a million dollars that both sides failed to negotiate. Hey, I won, because if the fight didn't happen then that means neither side negotiated, or at the very least negotiations failed on both sides!
I don't believe in fighters ducking one another, but I do believe that each fighter will and should try and negotiate their best possible deal. All this "just sign the contract" business is silly talk, if Hatton is going to sell himself short just for the privilege of fighting Floyd Mayweather then he should just screw it and fight someone else. That will be a real shame but it's the truth of it. I would expect Mayweather to take the greater share of the spoils because he has the added PPV experience but to suggest that Hatton should just sign a blank contract and let Mayweather's team fill in the blanks is absurd.
Let's just hope that the fight happens.
Father and business manager openly admitted they turned down the chance to at least negotiation for a Mayweather fight in 2004. "That was the one fight, style wise, which I thought we needed a few more fights before taking," said father Ray Hatton. "But now Ricky has gone up to the top level with Tszyu and got the big win, there's no-one I wouldn't put him in with and not feel confident that he'd beat."
I'll take that in small, unmarked bills, please.Comment

Hang on a second, that's a completely different occasion. The $13 million request was made after the Collazo fight, not before the Tszyu fight. Essentially you changed the subject.
1. Hatton has fought at that time of the morning just as Tszyu did in their first fight. If so, it's no way he is going to fight that late and you not taking into acount the promotions and advertising $$$ that they would miss out on here.
2. There's no advertising on PPV.
It's only been five days since the fight. Ricky will still be on the piss.its been 2 days since the offer and hatton hasnt accepted what a *****. who's running now
Hatton is more famous in the UK than Floyd Mayweather is in the US. And Floyd is not known at all around the world outside of boxing circles.Hatton is known in the UK only, Floyd is known globally and them pansy fans aint even real fans but futbol beer drinking fans really. In the US is where it is atComment

if he wanted to make himself known in the usa he should have called out oscar or mosley. mayweather aint nothing.Mayweather called Hatton correctly.
Hatton has decided to use Floyd's name to beef up his popularity amongst Americans and his overall appeal. He does not want it with Floyd and he knows it. That's why he's mentioning freaking "catch weights" etc. This is silly to even argue. Every interview he has both here and in the US have been riddled with discussion and insult to Floyd Mayweather. He can not even have an interview without a diss or a comment and now he is given the opportunity to get PBF out of retirement and we have not heard from Hatton since.
It's just business so to speak. Hatton is no dummy.Comment

Spade, I'm sorry but I disagree. Why would he call out Oscar or Mosley. You are being very subjective because Mosley is not a household name and he is obviously not regarded as the best. I am sure a 28 year old Hatton is not calling out a 34 year old DLH or a 35 year old Mosley. What would be the point in that when neither of them are current champions? I mean please, let's not be ridiculous just because you are not fond of Mayweather. Sure DLH could get the people, but what fighter right now really wants to fight DLH, with the exception of Mayweather (Strictly for financial gain.) While he may not be your fav., but let's try to understand the business side of this and the financial gain that is eminent.Comment
