Also, you have to note the striking similarities between how Mayweather and Hatton interact when talking about one another. Very similar to the way Leonard interacted with Hagler. Also take note of Floyd's "retirement" while he's still in the prime of his career, very similar to Leonards. Mayweather, the flashy technical fighter, Hatton the smothering brawler.

Anticipation for Mayweather/Hatton has been on the rise ever since Hatton beat Tsyzu in 2005, now with Floyd's "retirement" talks are at an all time high, combined with Hatton looking spectactular against Castillo.

This fight will happen, probably this fall if not, by March of next year. Mark my words. Floyd's "retirement" wil only last as long as his money does, and with the way he spends it, that won't be very long at all. He's just waiting for the anticipation for the fight to become so high that he can get the exact deal that suits his needs.
    Fake Floyd is no Leonard.

Fake Floyd is a poor man's Ruiz.

Let's get that straight and stop comparing an all time great from a fake.

I agree its like a watered down version of Hagler/Leonard..lol..becuase both of these guys would starch either Hatton or PBF, PBF would put up a great fight im sure but Leonard and Hagler were just on another level.

Duran/Leonard is pretty acurate, but no way in hell could Hatton be Duran's housemaid. I think that if PBF and Hatton fight, it will playout like Duran/Leonard III. There is a chance it could play out like the first fight, but I doubt it. Hatton won't quit though. I doubt Duran normally would, but there was something fishy about that fight.

Hagler was a boxer-puncher who brawled and attacked when necessary (Hearns fight), he generally boxed well behind his right jab and used nice lateral movement and picked his spots well.

Duran is more similar to Hatton. Duran could box too, but came forward and he swarmed his opponents more often Hagler did. Also, there was a lot of clinches in a good amount of Duran's fights, although Hatton seems to initiate a lot more of them than Duran did.

Leonard-Duran is a better comparison. Maybe even Whitaker-Chavez since Whitaker was the reigning welterweight champ and Chavez was the reigning 140 lb. champ, and it was a quick, slick fighter against a more aggressive guy who liked to attack the body.

              Not Hagler-Leonard.

              Bad comparison IMO.

UNLESS...PBF waits around for Hatton to become very slow and beatable, then come out of retirement.
              Floyd isnt really retired.

                He isn't.

Only blokes believe the word of that fake. He blew his word before and he will again.

                He's not retired.

He's just playing it safe to avoid shame.
