I'ma try and do a loose translation for those who dont read spanish; and those that do, feel free to correct me if I'm wrong!

The interview is with Tito Sr. and while a contract hasnt been signed and Tito hasnt officially stated he is returning, his father's words confirm it. All that is missing is for both fighters to agree and sign the paperwork.
        Q. Why should Tito come back?

        A. It's no secret that Tito retired because I (Sr.) retired; he's in good health, has no vices and his body is responding well. He has lots of potential.

        Q. What does he have to prove?

        A. He has nothing to prove, doesnt have to win any titles. All he wants to do is to show he can do what he loves and to contribute to his career. And of course he'll make lots of money along the way.

        Q. Contribute what exactly?

        A. Don King was clear in saying that boxing needs Tito. That he needs to be active. We're not here to replace anybody. We're here to bridge together, not divide.

        Q. Tito is already 34 years old. Isnt there a health risk?

        A. Why? Boxers are always at a health risk. The important thing is to prepare the body to not get hit (with blows).

        Q. Dont you think Roy Jones is past his prime?

        A. During the reunion, Don King called Roy and he spoke a lot. I dont know what exactly he said, since I dont speak english, but he did say he was interested in fighting Tito. The winner of Hopkins-Wright and Mayweather were also mentioned. Jones is closest to Tito's weight and will be dropping pounds. Plus he was on the horizon when Tito was climbing the ladder.

        Q. But Jones is 38.

        A. Hopkins is older and he's still fighting.

        Q. What about Mayweather Jr.?

        A. He was mentioned, but I dont see him as a viable option. Against DeLa Hoya, Floyd weighed in at 150. Tito will be up at 160 and there's too great of a weight difference there. I wouldnt take the fight or suggest it.

        Q. When are you guys going to go to work?

        A. Tito's already in training. I'll be a month in Mexico and Tito needs to aclimate his body so that when he returns, he'll have good stamina.

I'd like to support Tito, but this is a fight no one wants to see. At least come back in a tune-up first. Neither fighter has anything to gain from this anyways. If Roy wins, Tito is blown up and past it. If Tito wins, Roy is an old man.

            Great translation...

I'm happy to see that Trinidad Sr. doesn't want the Floyd fight, the Jones fight is a good one, with a good undercard they can make a pretty good PPV. I doubt that Jones could seriously hurt Tito,he could outbox him no doubt, I could see Tito catching Roy and ending the fight. Then a taylor fight could be done...

Roy Jones, Likely Opponent For Felix Trinidad

As previously reported, a meeting was held last weekend between former three-division champion Felix "Tito" Trinidad and promoter Don King, discussing a return to the ring in January 2008. The meeting took place at King's Isla Verde hotel suite in San Juan, Puerto Rico. (Click Here For More Info) [details]

                    Thank you.

I agree with you. Hopefully Tito will be in shape and have no problems dropping a few pounds after that to make it to 160. While I like a Taylor fight, I would love to see an action packed fight against Pavlik, Miranda or Abraham.

A Jones-Hopkins fight will be bigger if Jones beats Tito first...
