I was just about to mention that.
That's his only big money option left.
He'll have to move up to 147lbs. to make it happen, but he needs to do it.
After his poor performance this past weekend and the fact that he's the naturally smaller man, Gatti will definitely give him the opportunity.

Now you guys are just throwing these battle tested warriors into MORE wars like they're dogs...give them a break...

Think about that fight, what is there REALLY to gain for either man? Gatti to beat a smaller and broken Castillo who was just crushed by Hatton? Or Castillo to beat a battered Gatti who was just crushed by Baldomir and should be retired?

The only one gaining anything from that type of fight at this stage of their careers would be a blood thirsty fan.

Gatti says he's no longer gonna war box.

        They'd advertise this fight as a war and they'll mention Gatti/Ward I and Corrales/Castillo I.

I think it's the perfect matchup. They can definitely make it a PPV too.

I disagree. I think both Gatti and Castillo are looking for not just a way to make some extra money, but a way to save face with their fans. One last hurrah if you will. Both are battle tested warriors with hearts of iron and an almost inconquerable will to continue. It would help both guys out not only financially, but professionally as well. Great way to go out on top....well....for one of them anyway.

It would be big money for Castillo and a great way to bow out for Gatti. I can appreciate why some may find it ghoulish but it wouldn't be anything like as brutal as throwing Gatti in with someone like Hatton or Cotto.

I think Castillo will move up to 147, don't think weve seen the end of Castillo.

defintely think 140 was a pit stop only for him due to the fact that
hatton dangled such a carrott in front of him. I mean he killed himself to not make weight and barely get to what 139 for the 3rd installment of Castillo vs Corrales so why would anyone think 140 was a good weight for him. That being said the whole garbage with him getting sued by the Corrales family is bull****! If Diego wanted the money he had coming from the 3rd fight he should have fought, the titles wouldnt be on the line, he could have made a stipulation that Castillo could only rehydrate to 145 or whatever while he rehydrated to his usual 149 +. That whole situation is bull****, and a result of Corrales getting put in a ****ty situation by his promoter, getting ripped off for years, and trying to recoup that off of Castillo who already got severly penalized for his failures to make wait. Castillo's a champ and should be given the respect of a champ. Yeah he couldnt make weight but how many fighters in the past have had the same problems, and not been demonized by the **** ass sanctioning.

yeah, castillo should go to 147, he's getting to the age where the dehydration takes too much out of him. the welters will be stronger than he's used to but he'll be coming in stronger also
