A MUCH YOUNGER CASTILLO. HOPE YOU DONT THINK THE CASTILLO THAT FOUGHT HATTON IS THE SAME ONE THAT FOUGHT MAYWEATHER.

Cry me a river. Was he going to have a cold his NEXT fight at 147 also???
Your obviously very fond of Mayeather. Couple points I think need to be made here.

First, other than his succeses at 140 mayweather has cherry picked his way division after division avoiding the real challenges collecting straps to secure the big paydays he now recieves.

DLH is the best he has faced to date- A DLH that hasn't won a signifigant bout in how long? Please don't mention Vargas or Mayorga as neither are or have ever been considered elite.

On the way he bypassed the likes of Hatton,Wright, Mosley, Margarito, Cotto, and a slew of other REAL OPPONENTS.

So to say Mayweather outclasses any ELITE active fighter is completly ignorant. You can believe anything you want, but to say outright that it is a fordrawn conclusion is like saying Buster Douglas doesn't stand a chance against Mike Tyson.

Mayweather has taken on the gameplan laid out by Jones Jr, and Hopkins after him. It has paid dividends, but once again it is the fans that are hijacked in the process.

As a boxing fan I want to see gladiators pouring their hearts out in there. Giving it everything they have to create greatness before my eyes, and you should too. I'll take Hatton anyday, and I'll do it believing HEART is what makes a true champion. the willingness to face the best, not for the paycheck, but for the place in history among those that did give all they had so that we could witness their greatness, not read about it in quotes by guys that pretend to be what they lack the heart to be in reality!!!

Hatton tko8 - as soon as the body work slows that pretenders ass down!!!

[QUOTE=mick66;2470465]PBF has never fought anyone like Hatton....

Castillo was probably the closest..but as we know...
        Hatton is better..

Hatton is trying to keep building on the quality of the opposition and in doing so making a name for himself....
PBF is still dancing around living off past glories,,,that are looking less spectacular as time goes on...
Non of his recent fights have been any good..
Cotto beat Judah much better tha PBF..
Hatton smashed Castillo in a way he never came close to doing.......

Every fight these guys have, make Mayweather's grip on the P4P number 1 slot look less tenable..

Hatton has put in his best performances against his best opposition....

Is Urango a better fighter tha Tszyu...of course not..

With the biggest fights coming up for Hatton to reitire on.....he's going to bring out his best performances, and eventually shut all the doubters up...by hopefully gaining a place amongst the sports all time greats...

Unlike PBF who just wants more cash......He's admitted as much...

Keep on making the excuses up.........Before every fight..you keep knocking him saying this and that...

        Go on admit it.....
All you doubters are starting to doubt yourselfs.....

Hatton doesn't know how to lose....[/Q floyd fought castillo in his prime twice. he fought judah before he had a 15 month lay off. damn thought u knew that. nobody has more doubters than floyd, thought u knew that also. floyd does know how to box and not lose. we all saw the beating ricky took against callazo, who is nowhere near the boxer of mayweather. guess you didnt see that fight. floyd will have a field day picking hatton apart. he will not be fighting an old castillo here.

mayweather has never beaten an elite fighter in his prime. a fight with hatton would be his first opportunity to do it but i wont be shocked when mayweather ducks and dodges hatton.

your whole post is ignorant. hatton needed more fights and wanted 13mill, get real. im sure hes going to ***** out by pricing himself out this time also. cottos team wasnt ready to put him in there with mayweather. mosley had a tooth ache. winky fell through when both sides bitched about the money. margarito. please!! you claim to be a boxing fan but you dont know any of this? guess not, you're "IGNORANT"!!

This is false. We don't 'know' that. We know Hatton beat an aging Castillo. Castillo was obviously fresher when he fought Floyd.

Having said that, I agree Hatton has a solid shot to beat Mayweather.

While the rest of your post is all a matter of opinion, this section is not.

"Well, I need another 2-3 fights before Mayweather" - Ricky Hatton

"I have a toothache so I can't fight him yet" - Shane Mosley

"Cotto/Mayweather will be big in the future so we prefer to let the fight build another couple years" - Bob Arum/Team Cotto

All of these were said while Mayweather was at Light Welter or Welterweight, when Floyd was in direct position to MAKE THESE fights. This is what angers me most, these guys didn't want to fight Floyd. And now Hatton wants to open his mouth like it's Floyd who didn't want to make the fight???

With the exception of Margarito and Wright, Floyd has been absolutely willing to face anyone from 154 down! No questions about, you can't point to me any saying from Floyd's camp about not wanting to fight someone.

Wright is just too damn big. And with Margarito, I will say Floyd def did not want a piece of him. If you've read my other posts before I've said numerous times that Floyd needed to step up to the plate and fight Tony.

And if you've read any of my previous posts you'd realize I'm not "very fond" of Floyd like you claim. I do however, give credit where credit is due and FLOYD MAYWEATHER JR outranks RICKY HATTON in the credit department.

"He talked the talk. He tried to disrespect me on the network Saturday. Now all this punk has to do is sign a contract ASAP and that's his ass. I doubt he's going to step up to the plate because all he does is use my name to promote himself. We're going to find out very shortly if he really wants the fight. He signs the contract I promise you I'll beat that ass back to England," said Mayweather.

"He's talking about action which is crazy because this dude did more holding in his last fight which only lasted four rounds, than I have in my whole career. He keeps on letting my name come out his mouth, he just needs to be careful what he asks for, cause ain't nothing but the truth over here," said Mayweather.

"Everybody knows I'm the crem de la crem, pound for pound the best in the world, hands down. If this chump wants a shot at the best, all his punk ass has to do is sign a contract ASAP and I'll show him what real body work is. Matter fact, I stop Ricky Hatton with a body shot."

Especially early in PBF's career some of his career moves were viewed as pretty bold. The fact that he took on Genaro Hernandez so early in his career i remember it being one where people thought he might be in over his head. Also, his first 135 test being Jose Luis Castillo was also a big deal because of the fact that PBF was again, so young. Diego Corralles was upposed to kill his ass, im serious, watching that fight i thought PBF would be lucky to get a desicion. Then of course the bigger/stronger DLH was supposed to KO him (and that poll that was made shows alot of you were wishing and hoping it would happen). Do you see what im getting at?

                      In Conclusion,

Floyd Mayweather Jr, Like It Or Not, Is Pound For Pound The Best In The World.

All Other Fighters That Want To Prove Their Claim Should Be Bending Over Backwards To Fight Him. Not The Other Way Around.
