Yes, looks like it will happen in the UK.

Palle paid more money than he earned to get Beyer to fight in Denmark, and ended up loosing money last year. Kessler never had a decent payday, and giving Calzaghe 5 mill, would have made yet another bad year for him.

I think Kessler is the guy who finally made this happen. He came out very unhappy with Palle in the Danish media for not taking the money.

I wonder how Palle will deal with the Americans, should he get an offer from a big name in the future. I know he holds the US market in higher regards than UK, but if he still wants to make the fights in Denmark, he needs to go.
The only decent thing to do as Kessler's promoter is to go for the money and the exposure.

The purse was about 1,5mill $ for the Andrade fight - right?. 3,5 mill more is a huge difference.
The fact that Palle needs Palm to get around his tv obligations, only means there is one more guy who needs to make money on this. His help is not free.

If he could, it would probably mean no money for Kessler, and money out of his own pocket.

We have been hearing for weeks now that a fight with Calzaghe and Kessler is going to take place only sigs need to be signed. I hope this doesn't fall apart and were left with both Joe and Mikkel fighting people we know they can beat. I'll believe once the deal is signed.

One thing this is clearly not is rubbish. Warren, Palle and Calzaghe are all on record as saying that they want the fight to go ahead so they will all look very ****** if things fall through now. I hope this deal is finalised as soon as possible and it should act as a precedent for top fighters, promoters and networks around the world - let's see the best fighters in every division face off so we can find out who the true champions are.
