im just baffled. i just cant understand how any of you saw action in this fight. it was boring as hell and both of them were slow. this is nothing more than a shocker thread. hatton looked like a slug in the ring. castillo looked like he just didnt give a ****.Comment

Yes he did embarres Judah from round 4 on he beat his ass and had Judah not thrown a low blow and a bad rabid punch Judah would have been koed. And Chicos corner throw in the towel he got knocked down 4 times and was being outclassed. Gatti i was just a stepping fight and DLH would still beat any other fighter at that weight, and it was PBF first fight at 154 way above his best weight. He also beat Manfready at a time when he was on top on peoples list, Castillo twice (controversery or not Mayweather made it clear who was better the second time around) and Castillo was not shot unlike the Castillo Hatton fought. He also beat Geno, Ndou, and Chavez. All of Mayweathers fights were action fights until he got to 147 and then he started using defense more, and offense less. I laugh when people say Hatton is more exciting, go watch Floyds first 30 fights. Anyway Hatton is not a bum either and has fought some good fighters and he beat Zoo (Prime or not) that is a big task. I think Floyd needs to stop his retirement bs though and get in the ring with either Cotto or Hatton. Peace outComment

Hatton didn't call out Mayweather. He was asked a direct question by Kellerman about Mayweather, and he answered with wit. Kellerman is really no substitute for Larry Merchant, he just hasn't the chutzpah.
And Max made a pathetic flip-flop by saying before the fight that Castillo wasn't shot and saying after the fight that he was.
Taking nothing away from Hatton, but Castillo obviously was shot like mutha****a.
Castillo is old,in debt, and is only hungry for those pay checks now.Comment

If And When Mayweather Fights Hatton He Will Stop Him On Bad Multiple Cuts, even With Hatton Pressing Him And Rushing In Hatton Would Be Good Target Practice, hes Not Agile Enough For Floyd And Does Not Have Enough Real Experience, even If He Has Fought Tszyu And Castillo.this Will Be A Good Action Fight With Mayweather Catching A Few Good Punches But Still Breaking Hatton Down, could Go The Distance But A Very Bruised Battled Hard But Scared Hatton.Comment

Hatton could cut off the ring on Mayweather and force him to a stationary defence which wouldn't be entirely effective against a guy that throws such a volume of punches like Hatton and who will rough him up and bully him on the inside with superior strength. It would really throw Mayweather off his game. If Hatton gets hit by Mayweather coming in, who cares, he's not going to deviate his attack and Hatton is very adept at getting to the inside with a jab and headmovement, he mixes it up sometimes leading with a left hook. Like I said great counter style.Comment

Yes, but the difference between Hatton fans like myself and Mayweather fans like you is that I readily admit that Hatton is not infallible while recognising the skill of Mayweather. You, on the other hand, seem to think that Mayweather is indestructible while giving Hatton little or no credit.Comment

Who's is 'alot of guys.' De La Hoya has never been that kind of fighter and didn't seem to care if won or lost, and like I said above 135 his competition has been less than stellar. He's never fought a fighter akin to Hatton in his entire career outside of maybe Castillo who is in some ways comparable, but deficient in alot of key areas in potential fight against Mayweather.
And Hatton would be able to cut the ring off on Mayweather enough to be effective. ****, alot of times Mayweather puts himself on the ropes and fights going backward. I'm telling you Hatton would stay right on top of him nullifying many of Mayweather advantages, and accentuating his own in the process.Comment

Ah, you've discovered how to copy and paste. You have just made your first step into a bigger world, young Jedi.Comment

No it's not a shock thread. I gave props to Hatton but I said I completely disagree with what he said. I thought the lacked two way action. I'd much rather see a competitive fight than a blow out.Comment
