After that was the first time anyone heard about Arum wanting him to fight margarito. The $8 million was offered, Baldomir's people matched it and that is how things went down. Perhaps, you should wake up and get your facts straight.
i bumped a thread where margarito offered mayweather $7 million in 2005. still mayweather chose to avoid him to fight lesser opponents for less money. its a clear duck.

I don't disrespect him. I'm saying he's slow. That, my friend, is nothing but a fact.
He is tough, rugged and comes at you all day long, but any top level boxer should knock his head off. If he indeed were to beat Mosley or Floyd, I'll eat my words and start riding his **** too

A good fast boxer will "always" beat a good slow fighter IMO.

I did not know that and still don't. Just because you see a post from someone here doesn't make it fact. Not trying to disrespect Margarito (as you'll probably take it), but who the hell knew him in '05? Who really knows him now? Back then, if Floyd had fought him for the $7 Million instead of setting up a fight with the undisputed champ Judah people would've ripped him apart for it.

margarito is the same fighter that has been ducked and dodged by the best at 147 for the last few years. floyd mayweather would not fight this man for $8 million dollars because hes too good of a fighter. margarito deserves some respect for being possibly the best welterweight in the world.
People act like Cintron is more than what he is.

Clottey was owning Margy till he broke his hand. If Clottey didnt break it...Margys face woulda broke down. 1 bloody margarita please.

PBF fought a bigger fight for equal or more money [was it 8 or 10 mill?]...why diss him for it?

Hes NOT the 'best' welt in the world...a A- level fighter...yes, but not a A+.
