You can't expect someone who is champion at 5 DIFFERENT WEIGHT CATEGORIES to have a big punch in everyone of them. Really makes me mad when people compare Floyd with mere contenders who even havent proved themselves yet let alone win as many belts. The only one who even compares is Oscar De La Hoya but i have to give a small edge to Floyd in skill (not in braveness) and for beating the one man who would shadow him had he not beat him. That's why that fight happened. People think Floyd fights only for the money. WRONG, the man is fighting for the history books as well.
If he fought for history, he would be more active, less interested in money and willing to fight the best challengers.
The style you're referring to is called stick-and-move.

If you get mad when people compare him with "mere contenders who even haven't proved themself", I guess you get mad when people compare Floyd with Duran and the likes too?
    You should.

I agree that he is an powerful fighter, and it really isn't a fault that he doesn't carry one-punch power in the higher weightclasses.
Just makes it more impressive that he keeps winning IMO.

Yep thats's it. Stick-and-move.. I think his movement gives him the edge. He doesn't throw much as Cotto gets hurt easy and he is way smaller than Hoya. If you're telling me Hoya is not a pressure fighter you'd be plain wrong. The thing is you can't fight like that vs Mayweather. He does have powerful hands and he's VERY accurate. Cotto would get hurt and try to hold. He's just not there at that level yet and i doubt he will be, he gets hurts too often to fight a brawler style of fighting. I'd love to see realistic matchups for Cotto. I'll shut up if he beats Baldomir.

He sure had the reach on ODLH, thats why he landed more shots(although not as many as they scored for him, for sure).

And yeah, I dont think he fights just for the money, its a combination of a lot of things:

He fights with a fear of brain damage like his dad has to deal with.

He fights with a desire for legacy which is unfulfilled due to a fear of taking risks and aggression.

He is basically a non-boxer/fighter at heart, if he wasnt so short Basketball would be his sport, so its no surprise that the only way he will step back in the ring is massive amounts of money at minimal risk(aka Oscar).

Fake Floyd throws 30 punches per round, he hugs like Ruiz, he runs like a chicken.

And judges continously gives him gifts.

So yeah... HE IS SOOOO GOOD.... lols!

Cotto is a counter to his style. Somebody that's very adept at cutting off the ring, hits hard, goes to the body, throws alot of punches, is relatively accurate, agressive, rough, will make him fight. That is a counter style.

                mayweather fights strictly for money
                same with taylor
which is why i dislike him so much

people who thought he was ducking margarito or hatton before
                hes not ducking them
hes looking for bigger money fights

as much as i dislike him to say hes not that good is ridiculous he would take cotto he would frustrate him and hit him straight in the face with combos so fast cotto wont know what hit him

he would expose cottos chin so badly

He would actually have to throw punches, and throw combinations of punches at that. Would be something different.

And Expose Cotto's chin. He took Judah's best shots and basically walked through them.

cotto has a weak ass chin and takes too many shots in the face
mayweather would throw combinations at that
he throws punches when the other fighter is leaving his face open
