Floyd Mayweather Apprieciation Thread

Its all very well telling people not to criticise Floyd, but when crold made extremely valid points about the belt you had your say then told him to get back to topic.

There is no point having a thread like this. it's akin to making such a thread for every fighter and a corollary for the negatives about every fighter.

Floyd was a fighter that in his whole career against top opposition only ever once looked close to losing, and cleared that up in a rematch. he fought good opposition 4 divisions above his starting weight and won. He had great defensive and offensive skills, footwork was very good, beard never looked like folding, had heart, used dirty tactics when he could, boxed cleverly at higher weights. Got out whilst on the top of the pile.

Dude, this is all irrelevant , there are threads about the belts where people can discuss that in depth, he can say what he wants, but i didnt want things to get off topic, anyways this thread worked perfectly fine last night, its only this morning *******s have come in it and tried to ruin it,

Some other ass made a thread for bad comments about mayweather, i didnt have anything bad to say about floyd, so i didnt post in it, very simple.

I did the same thing for Ricky Hatton, and people tried to ruin that one as well,

To be honest, i knew it couldnt last without some idiots coming in, because you get people here that dont know anything about boxing and all they can do is slag off and criticise fighters, its a joke.

But yeah, last night we mananged to pretty much stay on track for a while, that was nice.

Whats the point of a thread full of only praise, is what I'm really asking. A thread minus the hate is one thing, but one without critical analysis is really a nut holding job isn't it. What this forum needs is to be able to critically assess fighters with careful thought, which is just what crold was doing.

This guy is a beast when it comes to strategy. Some cats dont like him cuz they say he dont brawl. But look at Hatton does he brawl or hug? Does Cotto's nut kicking count as brawling. IMO boxing is brawling. Does daggum 5 haymakers make you a brawler or just throwing hooks and upper cuts? Does an arm bar make u a brawler? No. It just means you're a stinker and not a thinker. Criticism is part of everything, You cant expect to come on a boxing forum and make a post nut huggin a guy and not expect people to come in and give their thoughts about it. And thats all this and the hatton thread was doing , nut hugging. I like Hatton, I think he is a great fighter, even the fights where he hugged, but what fighter doesnt hug, thats what fighters who are good at fighting inside do, and he wasnt the only one hugging, but Im not gonna make a post about how great someone is without expecting the opposing view. Ive made my feelings on Mayweather known frequently, and those marks are the worst, so you should of expected all the people who cant stand floyd and cant stand all the nut huggin to give their points of view. Noone is the supreme leader on who is a great boxer and who isnt. So noone should let anyone else tell them who sucks and who doesnt because they dont know. Everyone has opinions that they share. Only the ignorant ones go around poking fun and laughing at those that dont share the same view. I try to have boxing debates, but all the mayweather nut huggin is getting to me. Floyd needs to go back to the amaeteur weight with the rest of the runners, Professional boxing was created because fans wanted to see the big knockout, its strayed way from that. I saw someone on here that had the nerve to say that Floyd was better than Roy jones Jr... that sentance makes you laugh without a joke from me..

Not all fans want or need to see the big knockout guy. Real fans know every boxing match isn't a hollywood movie. There are fans that enjoy the science of boxing. Especially when the fighter is a family member or a friend. The win is the most important for the fighter and his team then the entertainment. If people have ADD when it comes to boxing they shouldn't watch. Bottom line. I enjoy good brawls but I can understand if a boxer's not trying to get brain damage. It's ******ed for a fighter to just stand there and get hit. Yes, running in a fight is annoying but getting distance to regroup is part of the game.

and Im all fine and dandy with that, all boxers should take the step back and try and rest if they are winded or hurt, I HATE guys that start that backwards movement from punch 1 like floyd does.

Dude, i didnt start the convo about which titles meant what , He did, i said mayweather held the WBC in all 5 weights, and he was the one, who took it off topic talking about what the WBC meant, so go back and read that.

So no i did not instigate any talk about which titles meant what until he did.

And thus the reason why i answered his question, and then asked him to get back to topic, instead of not answering his question, and telling him to get back to topic.
