If you think Cotto wasn't hurt early, you're nuts. He was stunned when he blasted Zab to the balls. Getting his bell rung was what caused him to drop his punches low. Nobody's saying Cotto isn't a great fighter, but you apparently think he's the second coming. Well, here's some advice for you: Don't expect him to start walking on water any time soon. He's tough, strong, always in great shape, and has a great work rate, but he's also very hittable, and will eventually be KO'd by someone with good power and fast hands...probably by Judah, if they have that rematch. That's not saying he's a bum, but his style invites it in a big way and it will[ happen. Mayweather will, if Judah doesn't. That doesn't make him less of a fighter, in my opinion...guys with that style are vulnerable to it, but it's also what makes them great to watch. Corrales was another one. Great to watch, but prone to getting put on his ass. Hell, that's part of what makes them exciting.
Cotto vs. Judah rematch almost done deal!

I think Judah wins this rematch by KO, setting the stage for a rubbermatch that might not make any PPV records, but it'll go down as being comparable to any great fights in the last 10 years or so, with the exception of only a few.
Judah is perfectly capable of beating Cotto if he keeps his hands working. He's faster, has great power, more ring experience, and enough cash to buy a stainless-steel cup. Or maybe he'll just have his balls bronzed before the fight. Anyway, I think he had it in his head that he was going to KO Cotto early, and just didn't come into the ring in the shape he needed to be in. I don't believe he'll make that mistake again.

Not sure about this one, but I do believe that Judah will win the second fight. Whether honestly or otherwise.Comment

Yoel Judah is a ****ing liar
Read Bob Arum's interview on the same site as the Yoel Judah interview. Bob Arum said the Cotto Judah fight did about 2 hundred thousand and some change. He also said that the fight did well in Puerto Rico and the New York area but it didn't do well out West.
I would take Bob Arums word on the PPV sales over Yoel Judah because Bob Arum has more money to lose or gain by the PPV sales than Judah does. Since that fight only did 2 and some change Cotto isn't a bigger draw or hold more star power than PBF as some of you like to say.
Cotto is more of a draw right now because of his nationality than his skills.
Damn I didn't know this site censored the other when you type the name up. Good for business I guessLast edited by tredh; 06-21-2007, 08:12 AM.Comment

No reason
There is no reason whatsoever to have this match? i can understand if the fight wads real close but it wasnt. Even if cotto hadn't knocked out Judah he still would have won easily by decision. Oh well given the kind of fan I am if they do a rematch I would still watch it. Zab might win this time. It would be interesting if Judah would beat Cotto in his own backyard like Cotto did to him. That would be interesting but there is like a 20 percent chance that will happen.Comment

This is pure and utter bull****. First of all, Cotto whooped Zab's ass - there's no reason to rematch based on that alone. Second, Zab had lost his 2 previous fights, so he's in no position to demand a rematch. At this stage in Cotto's career, fighting a former titlist coming off 3 losses makes no sense whatsoever. Also, Arum said Cotto won't fight here again because the revenue the fight can bring in does not come close to what it would do on the States with their huge arenas. Think about it, this fight broke the MSG record for attendance, which is probably the most famous stage in the world - why the hell would they bring it here?Comment

Zab Judah didn't even win one single round, and if he blames the low blows for not even winning one round then thats sad.Comment

you heard him after the fight he does want a rematch... he need a new trainer but is ain't happening....whyComment

man this is completely ridiculous cotto needs to fight the winner of margarito-williams which he will but after that he needs to go after someone new that would prolly bring in even bigger money
like de la hoya, mayweather, or shane
why go after zab when you can make bigger money elsewhere plus it be better competition?
this makes no sense i dont see this going down at allComment
