ruiz has lost 2 (you could say 3) in a row. now that he has no title, there is absolutely no reason for any of the top fighters to fight him. ruiz brings no money to the table and his awkward (putting it kindly) style is probly the most unattractive style you could have and one of the toughest styles to combat.

ruiz's "accomplishments" are meaningless when you see/look/know how he fights. max kellerman said something to the extent of "i dont care if he invents a time machine and knocks out joe louis, jack dempsey, rocky marciano, and muhammad ali all in one night. his style is so horrific that it demeans any and all of his 'victories'". well put, max.

in john the bum ruiz's case, its not THAT you win, its HOW you win.

Your right about the Chagaev vs. Ruiz fight, Chagaev was robbed of a deserved UD. After the fight Ruiz admitted he lost and predicted Chagaev would defeat Valuev (after his Valuev fight, however, Ruiz said he was robbed).

Ruiz needs to take a fight soon. The long layoff isn't going to help him win another title. He should fight a relatively east opponent (like Rahman fought Sykes) to get back on a winning streak again.
