It seems people have forgoten about Chris Byrd, who is skilled enough to beat atleast two of the four champions.

Ruiz fought pretty well in defeat against Chagaev, and I hear he was robbed against Valuev. I wish he would just retire, but the division isnt deep enough to keep him away.

Byrd isn't skilled enough anymore though, at least not like he used to be. He is there to be hit all night. I've been a huge fan of his all my life, but he's basically Eddie Chambers now. Thats not a huge insult I know as he can exchange well and use subtleties to roll punches, but the Chris Byrd of 5-10 years ago that would be undisputed champ in this division is gone. He could maaaaybe win a title, but I wouldn't call him more than a push with any of the champs.

As for the actual topic, good. There are some mildly intriguing matchups featuring Ruiz. Ruiz/McCall would be an interesting fight if McCall wins the rematch overseas. I know the first fight was WBC Eliminator, but he's got the winner of the winner of Peter/Maskaev versus Vitali so its going to be a while. He can fight two more times between then.

Maskaev is too slow imo, and would be beaten by Byrd in a boring fight. Im not quite sold on Sultan yet, and I wouldnt be suprised if Byrd beat him.

Ruiz could win 3 of the 4 heavyweight belts right now. He's not going to beat Klitschko, but none of the other titles seem unattainable. I don't imagine any of them want to fight him, though...His best bet is try to stay ranked atop the WBA list
