For me, right now, their legacy’s are around the same, both were champions, recognized at one point to be the very best in the division, both were considered p4p’ers well past their sell by dates and both had good wins over good opposition.

Head to head, prime for prime, I might pick Eubank, as he may be to good on the outside, but it really is a pick’em.

I'm sure I read an interview with Eubank where he said he never would have beaten Calzaghe due to him being too busy. He certainly had no chance if it went to points but he could have taken him out.

Oh, and how on earth was the Reid fight a gift decision? Reid himself after the fight admitted he lost it. I suppose if people keep on repeating it it might become fact.

Bank was asked a few years back what would have happened if he fought Calzaghe five years earlier and he said "Probably stopped him, possibly knocked him out, I wouldn't have beaten him on points.. I'd have bashed him up abit more though."

He was asked recently about Calzaghe in Dubai and said the main difference between them is that he carried the belt, whereas the belt carried Calzaghe!

But he's talking about his public image. Calzaghe lacks charisma, that's for sure. But I'm not sure Eubank could have knocked him out.

It was always great seeing Eubank flurry, shame it was only once every three or four fights or something

If he threw a load of flurries, with Calzaghe as square-on as he is, maybe he gets him out of there

Eubank was NEVER the same after the second Watson fight. It was almost as if he was scared to seriously hurt an opponent after that fight.

He was fighting in spurts in the first Watson fight.. he already developed that lazy style
