Just to reiterate one of my earlier posts, this is what Floyd's last five opponents did to deserve a fight with Mayweather:

    Beat Ricardo Mayorga
    Beat Zab Judah
    Lost to Carlos Baldomir
    Beat Chris Smith
    Beat Jesse James Leija

You have to be real good to deserve a shot at Floyd is seems.

I guess you don't think Cotto is too good?

Thanks my man, now I understand. It seems Ricky's too successful for his own good.

My contention is not to diminish Floyd's ability in any way but this ridiculous notion that fighters can be unworthy of a shot at Floyd unless they fulfil some mysterious set of criteria to prove themselves is utterly false. Ricky Hatton is undefeated, is rated as a P4Per, is dominant at 140 lbs and has beaten a P4Per already. He also has a name, and the money is there to be made. That's all you need to make a big big fight with Mayweather and suggesting that anything mroe is required is just bloviating.

Good post. I like PBF and all the drama that comes along with him. I also think that Hatton makes the most sense out of all possible matches for Floyd. Money, name and competition are all there. There's no logical reason for this fight not to happen if Hatton wins against Castillo. Provided PBF doesn't stay retired. Personally if he soundly wins against Hatton, I'll turn a deaf ear to any more bashing of Floyds opponents as obviously a lot of members think highly of Hatton.
