Whitaker was just gifted. What he did in boxing was not something that could be taught.

i tell you after his last two fights he's one of the best imo.i think he'll be the kind that will gain more power as he matures. and he's big enough to be competitive at welter.

dont even know how to respond to this one, Paulie is a runner, runners arent top at anything let alone boxing, I will give you Paulie has a very crisp jab, but he has zip power and no willingness to land the knockout punch, he wants to move around the ring and win on points, fight fans want to see the big knockouts , not a 5 Mile relay race

You can be gifted and still have good fundamentals .
I think the fundimentals of the sport have changed a bit over the years.
The people who you say are gifted are almost to the point where they are the norm now.
Floyd for one is a very gifted fighter and I think he has his funds down pact .

No, because, although he has speed and movement, he doesn't use a lot of combinations, levels, etc. Doesn't mean he can't win or isn't skillful; but he isn't the best pure boxer.....
