Hatton v. Malignaggi

Assuming that Hatton gets by Castillo on Saturday. What do people think about this match up. Malignaggi can be boring but I think after last night that when fighting a come forward fighter like Hatton it can make for an exciting fight.
I would favor Hatton to simply overwhelm him. N'Dou was able to land shots but he didn't commit to the body enough and he didn't cut off the ring well enough. Hatton does both much better and as a result I think he wins a UD. I don't think he will stop Malignaggi because Cotto couldn't.

If Hatton is eventually going to fight Mayweather he should fight Malignaggi first (I know his fighting PBF depends on certain circumstances and may never happen). Malignaggi with his excellent defensive skills and slick jabs would help prepare him for PBF.

Definitely a good preparation for Mayweather with his stick and move style although Mayweather has more pop. On the other hand I don't really think Hatton needs anymore practice he either has or doesn't have what it takes now. His style certainly presents challenges for anybody that likes to set a slower pace in a fight.

I don't know it is a toss up. Neither one of them really like to press the action so I think that Hatton makes for a more exciting opponent but Holt is a good fighter as well.

i give props to malinaggi with his win, but who **** is this guy really? hatton would waste him and it would be a drop in class for hatton to fight this guy. Hatton needs to fight the winner of williams/margarito or mayweather. if hes gotta fight mallinaggi to get to mayweather then so be it.

Id pick Paulie to beat hatton.. hatton has no defense, paulie will keep range and score at will.

Why would Hatton want to fight malignaggi. I mean I seriously doubt this fight would ever get made. As for the hypothetical contest. I'd favour Hatton slightly, as his footwork is very good going forward and i don't think Malignaggi would be able to keep the range as the above poster suggests. But I think we'll have a much better idea of whether hatton has still got it in a weeks time. He could get stopped and ruined in Saturday's fight.

No way dude, Paulie is awkward and very slick, if hatton cant get to him regularly it could be a pick'em fight.

but the thing is hatton WOULD get to paulie regularly, Paulie has a sharp crisp jab, thats about his only weapon, Paulie has one of the weakest punches Ive ever seen in a fighter, and he knows it which is why he doesnt go for the KO, noone looked more surprised about the knockdown then Paulie
