Why the sudden comeback of inactive fighters in the HW division?

I heard of Golota, Holyfield, Oliver McCall and Wlad Klis. why can we just forget the past and get new blood.

And recently, Corrie Sanders. It's because they want to make some more money before it's too late. Yes, some of them should stay retired, but I like the idea of Vitali coming back for a couple of fights.

First, when was Oliver Mccall or Wlad Klitschko ever inactive? Secondly, the addition of older fighters making comebacks IMO deepens the talent pool of the division. If the young fighters or "new blood" want to make names for themselves they have to pay their dues and fight the tough fights like everyone else who's anybody did....

** Why can't the new blood knock off those guys? Maybe new blood's too fat and lazy.

The problem with that, is that the old guys don't always want to fight the young guys. But it would be good for boxing if they did.

Danny Williams and TOS turned Povetkin down. Larry Donald was desperate for a fight, because Don King's been neglecting him since his loss to Valuev. What I wrote is correct, the old guys don't always want to fight the younger guys. There are some exceptions to this, but some of the old fighters avoid career-ending matchups with up and comers. Some don't - Akinwande is fighting Platov on June 30.

I think that you could also make an argument that the young guys don't always want to fight the older and more experienced fighters for that same reason. Anyways, I think that the more talent in the division the better off it is.

Same deal at 175; what allows for the problem is that the senior citizens are worth more at the bargaining table, and don't have to fight the kids. Big problem if we end up with Maskaev-McCall instead of Peter-Klitschko or the really interesting HW fight, Peter-Chagaev

Kayjay, the best case scenario( I've been posting and posting over and over again) for the division would be: Peter defeats Maskaev, then goes on to defeat Vitali(very possible) which sets up a "super fight" with Wlad for unification of IBF-WBC belts in mid to late 2008....

Hey, one can dream can't he.....
