    Interesting..

Hatton has been saying for as long as I can remember that he and Cotto would be the best matchup in the sport. Most recently he said he would love to fight him. Personally, I'm worried about De La Hoya ****ing up any scenario involving either Hatton or Cotto..

i used to like de la hoya fights but he obviously doesnt have it anymore it would be a waste to watch dlh-pacquiao or dlh-cotto when there could be pacquiao-marquez or cotto-margarito still any opponent that dlh picks will have to fight him cause of the money

Cotto TKO's Hatton in the mid to late rounds. Cotto looks too large for Hatton to effectively hold and hit.

the real question is, " why won't hatton fight cotto?"

you know why, Hatton is scared of Cotto. Cotto would beat Hatton like a step child. Hatton has "ZERO" chance against Cotto. "ZERO"

Its obvious Floyd wont go over there. I know its a bit of a scary thing for anyone but someone needs to do it.

They would make a Floyd fight there because he's the biggest win out there but there probally isnt anyone else they could or would do that for besides Cotto and maybe Mosley. Guys like Zab, Clottey, & Margarito would do it in a heartbeat but thats too much high risk low reward for Hatton.

Cotto is the hottest name in the sport right now. A Margarito-Cotto fight is big but its definatly not huge. Arum just knows he can get money both ways. Still, Cotto could get rich if he took the Hatton fight and I know both guys would take that fight. Hatton may not have looked great at 147 but he still beat a very solid guy in Callazo and I just know that he thinks he can beat Cotto for some reason. As of right now mostly everyone would pick Cotto in that fight and he would still get a ton of credit for winning. It would be the experince of a Life Time and he would get rich off that fight. To me its also lower risk then a Margarito fight with alot more money. I know its scary to go overseas with there funny refs who allow anything and stop fights quick combined with there crooked judges but this fight wouild be so huge. It also sets up a Mayweather fight for the winner. If Cotto wins then his stock would be so high and if Hatton wins then I think Floyd would fall in love after seeing a fight with 90,000 people at it and knowing that Hatton would throw huge bucks at him to come over.

To me this fight makes so much sense and I think it could be fairly easy to make. I think Hatton would possibly consider Mosley. He's the only other guy that would sell out Wembly and they know it would be a super fight but he's also older and the people may try to take something away from hattons win while at the same time he still may be the best guy at 147 so its very dangerous. Thats why Cotto is the only logical choice and I cant believe that no one is talking about that more including those 2 fighters but if he does good against JLC then I think there may be more talk about that fight. Hatton is probally just not going to sale huge in the states. There are alot of good fighters who would go over there to fight him but there either just a step under elite or there too much high risk low reward
First of all because hatton is already fighting Mayweather and if Mayweather wins, he needs to be fighting Cotto, not Cotto fighting Hatton. You said it yourself Cotto is the hottest name in the sport, and if Floyd wins over Hatton than all the Floyd fans along with Floyd will say "so what he's fighting hatton, he's fighitng my leftovers" I could alrady see that, and that will get him no closer to a fight with Flloyd. The name of this thread should be Why Wont Floyd Fight Cotto if he wins.

NEWSFLASH: Cotto doesn't like pressure. Clue #1..

Let's not get out of hand now.

hatton's defense is garbage cotto is a better boxer than hatton is hatton likes to throw a hook or to then clinch then tries to throw body shots while he is inside from the clinch .cotto seems to get upset when he's getting clinched or feels the fighter is fighting dirty he won't let it happen whenever hatton clinches miguel is gonna throw his ass around they r both considered bodypunchers but hatton seems to not be able to take body shots watch the urango fight and tszyu fight even the castillo fight . cotto has a height and reach andvantage over hatton and cotto fights better inside than hatton does
