I forget what round it was but I think it was either like the 10th or 11th round, where Bika was literally about to get dropped to the canvas. The fight started like this, Bute was feeling Bika out. And then you could tell the hand speed difference in the last 8 rounds. And the thing it was, when bika was about to get knock down to the canvas, it wasn't exactly the fact that Bute was throwing bombs, but the fact he was throwing so fast that Bika couldn't even see the punches coming!!!

My thoughts were that the first 5 rounds, Bute looked leary as if he were expecting head butts / dirty pool...( Joe got a headbutt in his fight vs Bika )
Once he got at about the half way point, he appeared more confident...and got down to business..

Bute could have won this one much easier than he did, he was a little too wary of Bika and his wide slow haymakers, apparently I don't see this one as others do, he gave the guy too much respect

Bika may have gone for a headbutt in the 10th round, but he definitely was cleaner then he was then when he fought Calzaghe. I think Bika was dirty almost every single round in the calzaghe fight. Basically Calzaghe had to deal with a dirtier version of Bika.

No, I disagree. Bika was in the ring with two world class champions, he definitely had the experience over Bute. I think Bute's cautious behavior was a plus side to him winning. If Bute got careless, and wanted to dominate in this fight then he probably could have lost. Bika definitely doesn't have the skill-level as Bute. But no one wants to be hit by Bika's bombs. He's still a force to be reckoned with. Late start, but in the end he did dominate enough to win by points.

I think you're right. Bute knew he is a better fighter, but was worried about receiving a bad cut from a headbutt.

Bika's a good awkward guy, but soon enough he's going to throw a wide hook just as a straight shot lands on his chin and put him on ***** street, Bute could have been the first to do so tonight, he settled for the jab and move and got a decision, the only meaningful punch he landed tonight was in the 11th when he snapped Bikas head back something vicious with a left. If that was domination it was the softest I've seen

118-109 and 118-109 is ridiculous, those judges shouldn't be doing fights

No, those judges were right. The first four rounds were even, give two to each boxer. Bute won the last 8, and an additional point was deducted from Bika for the obviously intentional head butt. That works out to 118-109. If you gave all of the close first four rounds to Bika, and the last 8 to Bute, the score would be 116-111. All three judges scores make perfect sense, because although Bute clearly won the last eight, and the first four could have gone either way.

Bika is (as several people posted during the past week) a difficult opponent who even made Calzaghe look bad at times. I'm very happy about Bute's performance, although it would have been even better if he had knocked him out when he had him hurt in the late round.

Are you serious? Bute didn't win any of the early rounds, I don't have a problem with 116-111, but 118-109 is BS
