Tougher as in getting hurt, then yes.

Judah also lasted a lot longer than Torres did.

But there's no doubt in my mind that Judah was the far tougher fight from a technical stand point.

Cotto was struggling to make 140 then, that didn't help him. He looks so much more like he did back in the early days of 140...at 147. He's a lot more fluid and lively.

Basically nobody knew who Ricardo Torres was before the Cotto fight. That's why it was pure comedy when everyone who wanted to discredit Cotto dismissed Torres as some backyard Colombian brawler who would never be ****.

Torres (from what we saw in the Cotto fight) turned out to be a dynamic puncher with fast hands and a tough mentality. The guy was dropped several times, was hit low, and was hammered to the body but he kept swinging until he couldn't take anymore.

I don't think it's any coincidence that he has since won 3 in a row including the vacant WBO title over the rugged Arnaoutis.

Zab showed a lot of heart against Cotto too. I don't think it's necessary to slam him at all either. He took his beating like a man and finished on his feet. Both fights were awesome matchups. Two of the best in the past 5 years.

        Both are overrated as opponents.

You got a guy in Judah who was never good against anyone good (except Cory Spinks) and then you got Torres who took the fight on two weeks notice. I can give Cotto his props for how he took care of business but the opponents were nothing close to great.

That is what I was going to say. I am not sure that Torres was tougher or that making 140 was the real test. Torres is certainly a talented fighter with good power but I think that him being somewhat unknown also helped his cause. If the fight was at 147 I think the fight might have looked a lot like the Judah fight.

And Cotto respected Judah a lot more than he did Torres. He was being careless and exchanging with Torres and he got caught a couple times. Against Zab he was a lot more cautious.

You can no longer "expose" Cotto. What is it with you people?

A two division champion with 30 wins under his belt over all kinds of current and former champions CAN'T be exposed.

Had Cotto racked up 30 wins over opponents with losing records, 0-0-0 records and complete no names...you could say that someone will expose him.

Matt Vanda is a fighter who was exposed.

Cotto's weaknesses have already been shown. Funny that he just destroyed a good fighter who had all of the necessary tools to exploit those weaknesses.

                Come on now...

                    lol good point.

                    Let me rephrase for him:

Any Grade-A elite boxer with a good chin, has a good chance at beating Cotto.

Lol, Paulie fought the wrong fight and he still lost close 115-113. He stood with Cotto too much.
