the difference is you can EXCUSE boxers with there ignorance cause mma is brand new and boxing has been around ages.
what you cannot excuse is mma fans who know nothing about boxing especially since boxing has been around longer. Then make ignorant statements as if mma was around for 100 years in the USA lol...i love hearing those dweeb know it alls say ill just take it to the ground as if they are bad ass.
i cant stand these mma fans who only followed it for 3 years and start talking some snobbish smart **** like boxers are so ignorant of course they are all they know is the first and biggest fight sport in usa you cant blame them.
so many people dont know about mma all they know is ufc, and the majority of people know more about boxing. The public doesnt even know dan henderson thats why they were baffled when he came on stage with rampage, they even booed rampage...the point is they dont know mma they know UFC!
this will be the major threat to MMA is they are business company run with there own rules...they have no universal rules system, and fighters get paid worse then a kid working at taco bell for a year.Comment

its sad because the americans know ufc and they support it if UFC falls MMA falls who else is there?
they have no unified universal rules like boxing does...
thats why boxing will always be alive because people in africa, asian, south america all have the same maquees of queensbury rules that they abide too.Comment

While I agree that UFC underpays the fighters, as I've said before, many of them have endorsement deals and sponsors. The kids working at Taco Bell don't. Two of the mma fighters at my gym have sponsors, and they are nowhere near well known, although one is fighting on the StrikeForce card on the 22nd on Showtime PPV.Comment
