Did Collazo Send Hatton Back to 140?

Do you feel Hatton intended to just fight once at 147 and then move back down? Or did the beating Collazo gave him send him back to 140?

7lbs of muscles had to be added on Hatton in the space of 2 weeks. No wonder he was so robotic and slow. Which showed in his performance against Colazo.

      DID YOU HEAR THAT *****!!!!

        Great, great thread. Truly awesome.

Did Oscar scare Floyd into retirement? I think he did - when you can barely get past an ancient, inactive semi-retired promoter it's time to get out.

I believe if Hatton was more successful in his fight against Collazo he would've stayed to fight Mayweather.

So why didn't he stay at 147 and give himself some time to grow into the division? He had an easy mandatory in Urkal who had just moved up from 140 also. Why did Hatton go back to 140 to fight Urango of all people? I think he realized that when he struggled with a fringe contender at welterweight, that the top dogs would eat him alive...

Floyd said he would retire following the Baldomir fight. So no, Oscar had nothing to do with that decision...

Basically he won on the scorecards but afterwards it looked like he lost. He got roughed up pretty bad and was almost out in the 12th.

Man, I knew you were going to say that before you did. He was lying, just like when he said he'd go toe to toe with DLH. And you believed him

He only really decided to retire after he saw that Oscar could whoop him if he had the gas to go 12 rounds.
