Can cotto make it?

I don't really think he can. Well, i hate cotto for being plainly put, evil. But putting that aside and sticking to facts only, can he really make a statement in boxing? I think not, for two reasons(dispite the hate):
His chin.
His style.

He fights on the iside and his not too kin of using the jab (maybe his height has to do with it?) and his chin is really poor. Fighting like that is more than likely he will get hit, alot. All sluggers do. I don't see anyone who can do that sort of damage though, margarito has the style for it but he seems kind of small for cotto, i don't know. Anyway, whoever destroys him i hope they hit him in the nuts first and say "how's that feels huh?" TWICE

He has a great jab when he uses it. Its a power jab and he sent Judah flying across the ring with it a few times.

If he fights Margarito, im putting the house on Cotto cause Margarito isnt good. Hes overrated. Unfortunely, Margarito isnt going to beat Williams.

All Cotto needs, is to higher Winky Wright and have him teach Cotto how have the airtight defense.

If Cotto could protect himself, hed be a force to be reckoned with.

And he wont be ouboxed by guys liek Mosley. He might be beaten, but Judah tried to jab Cotto all night and he missed his jab constantly.

Mosley is quicker with his jab and will land it more frequently, but i doubt hed be able to control the fight with it.

Cotto CAN make a statement, and i think he will if he goes about doing it right, with the right opponents.

But i agree that its only a matter of time before he really gets caught and gets knocked out. His chin is that bad it seems. But Cotto has a lot of hard and determination so we'll see. Im excited for it

His style might get him caught against a huge power puncher, but his chin really isn't that bad. I know he's gotten stunned by Torres, Chop Chop, and Judah, but he's only been down once and that was against Torres. If you watch that knock down Torres had him hurt, but he really pushed him down on that KD.

IMO he is going to have a long stay on the elite level and gonna be making huge dollars for quite awhile. His style's enertaining and his following is loyal and big. Plus those body shots of his could wear anybody down.

He uses the peak a boo defense from time to time, and he used to always use it in his earlier fights. He knows how to do it and can be effective with it, but he doesn't do it as much anymore.

You'll have some what knowledge of boxing so let me ask you guys this.... When a boxer who fights to the body more then other fights, LOW BLOWS ARE BOUND TO HAPPEN. SO lay off Cotto with his "golata or cheater names then man is one of the few who can turn a non boxer fan into a boxing fan. He is like a Jesus Christ to the sport right now among other fighters too. He handled it like a man, he apologized, hug and was sincere. SO why not believe him, he not the type who is brash, ****y and **** talking, he doesnt claim to be a thug he is a respectful fighter..

And his chin isn't bad at all. 30 fights and he has only be down once...If that makes a bad chin then 99% of boxers have glass jaws
