Is his talent ruined by having like no power? I re-watched the Cotto/Malignaggi fight, and I don't know why everyone respect Malignaggi. He got completely destroyed by cotto, is it because he was able to survive? Because he didn't do much in the fight, cotto out landed him like every single round. And his punches literally looked like ***** slaps.

It's not the end of the world just look at winky wright, but it does make a difference if you can punch someone with your best shot and it just bounces off them.

Cotto destroyed him for 12 rounds straight, and people seem to be in love with this Paul guy... It's ridiculous, I'm guessing its because he survived when he was suppose to be ko'd.

I no cotto destroyed him. But what i'm sayin is that at 140 his lack of power doesnt mean the end of the world. Also i hate paulie as he's a boring boxer who makesme wana sleep as u know he wont knock his opponent out.

I dont think anybody argued he won the fight but a lot of people had it even after 8-9 rounds and then Cotto just overwhelmed him. And frankly I have respect for someone who can take that kind of punishment and not give up. He had broken orbital bone and a broken nose. I saw Israel Vasquez quit after having his nose broken in a recent fight. I am not saying he is good but at least that night he proved he was tough. And getting beaten by Cotto doesn't really say that you suck...he is one of the best fighters at 147 or below.

Paulie has skill but no power. This is a major problem. I can't understand why he's so popular if he can't hurt anyone. I think people just like the fact that he's a total Guido that runs his mouth.

Oh well I don't know why he is popular either. He is far more boring than any other major fighter. I find Winky and Mayweather to be exciting usually compared to Malignaggi.

paulies speed sacrifices his power he throws open handed shots instead of powerful closed fists thats just how he punches and it benefits his speed if he had more balance between the speed and power he would be something else im sure he can work on his power more though theres some potential there if he works on it.

I heard he has really brittle hands that get hurt a lot. And it was because of this that he went ahead and took the Cotto fight knowing he had zero chance to win but would get paid a lot for the beating he would take.
