I don't think Malignaggi has enough strength to keep Hatton off him all night, but it would be interesting to see if Hatton could handle a slick boxer like Malignaggi. Hatton has been ducking slick fighters like Mayweather and Witter for years, so I doubt he would consider this fight...

i wouldn't say hatton has been ducking pbf.....he's openly been trying t get a match w/ him for some time now....I don't think Malignaggi has enough strength to keep Hatton off him all night, but it would be interesting to see if Hatton could handle a slick boxer like Malignaggi. pm could hold his own against hatton....collazo who's not a big puncher & more of a speed/slick fighter argueably beat hatton....cutting him off w/ the jab or straight rights as ricky came in, then getting out of the way, something paulie is more than capable of doing (& i think is faster & quicker than collazo)....
PM did a great job against cotto considering he suffered an injury early & going by the numbers, could have won or gotten a draw barring the knock down in the second rd....the swollen ceek made the fight look worse than it was to viewers.....if he can handle cotto's barrage fighting injured, u can at least make the arguement that he can hang w/ hatton (if not beat him)Comment

ROFL hatton hasn't been ducking Witter, Witter is basically unsellable, he can't even sell a 1000 tickets, he's like a mini johnny nelson. He brings nothing to the table for a fight with Hatton apart from his mouth. Witter has stamina issues, is not world class not even near, Hatton would kill him. Maybe if Witter didn't talk trash about Hatton every minute of the day, the fight could of been made, Witter is extremely unpopular in the UK. Hatton could sell 50,000 in Manchester, there is a big differance in class, money and popularity between the two, i just hope one day Hatton will shut him up.Comment

This makes no sense when you consider Hatton fought Maussa, Collazo, and Urango in succession. Three guys that were total unknowns and brought absolutely nothing to the table. The only reason Hatton fought them is that they all shared the distinction of being the weakest champions in their division at the time Hatton faced them. Witter is probably the best jr. welter not named Hatton, especially if he gets by Vivian Harris.ROFL hatton hasn't been ducking Witter, Witter is basically unsellable, he can't even sell a 1000 tickets, he's like a mini johnny nelson. If anything, a fight with Witter in the UK would be bigger than those three fights combined and in America they would be no worse than any of those fights...Comment

Maussa just KO'd Harris, Harris was considered one of the best in the division at the time, Witter was to busy struggling with Lynes and Kotelnik. Urango was a undeafeated world champion, it wasn't the fight i wanted to see, but hatton has a signed a 3 fight deal with HBO in AMERICA, a fight vs witter wouldn't sell at all in the USA. Collazo was a world champ at a higher weight coming off a very good win vs Rivera. Witter has only recently won a vacant world champ against a shot to peices chop chop, and that was a terrible fight. If hatton vs Witter comes about, it will be a terrible fight the mix of styles would make for a horrible match. Witter is the most negative world champion ive ever watched, the only time hes impressed was vs N'dou and he almost ****ed that up at the end.Comment

I don't know if I would really want to see Malignaggi/Hatton. Paulie would probably box from the outside because going inside with Hatton wouldn't be the best of ideas. He could have a chance of outboxing him, but I think Hatton knowing that Paulie couldn't hurt him to much with his light punching would come inside and make it a fight and not hold as much, but then he might get tired from chasing Malignaggi and start holding to catch his breath. I just don't know if it would be a very enertaining fight in my eyes.Comment

Malignaggi did very well against Cotto, and Cotto is stronger and in my opinion all around better than Hatton. Also Hatton had a lot of trouble with a slick boxer when he fought Collazo.
If Malignaggi could have started better against Cotto he would have had a chance to beat him. He is a very good fighter and I think that within a year or two he is going to be in the P4P top ten. It might seem like a bit of an "out there" prediction but I honestly think so.Comment

hatton hasn't ko'd squat in years & had his hands full.....lost in many peoples eyes, to the slick, quick collazo.....collazo isn't as fast or crafty as paulie.....& paulie took everything cotto had to offer (fighting w/ broken bones in his face....making a few people wonder what the out come would be if he wasn't injured early).....hatton will not present anything more dangerous than cotto did, actually his fire power is limited next to cotto's powerComment
