PBF is NOT NEEDED in the WW's

Guys, check my post I'm not a PBF hater but the man has retired and good for him he still has his money, health and youth.

But the WW division doesn't need PBF and to be honest it would be a more exciting division without him. I'm speaking stylisticly here. The current crop of WW's from Shane, Margarito, Williams, Clottey, Judah, Quintana, Joel Julio, Berto, Collazo, Cintron and Hatton (possibly move up after Castillo) all offer Great exciting matchups.

Can anyone imagine Clottey-Berto or Cintron-Julio or Mosley-Williams or Hatton-Margarito .........**** put ANY 2 of those guys together and we have a FOTY candidate.

So while PBF might possibly and probably beat any of these guys, it would be far less exciting fight. The WW division DOES NOT need PBF. He has announced retirement. I say let sleeping dogs lye and LLLLLETS GET READY TO RUMBLE!!!!!

**sigh**... Another pointless Mayweather bashing thread. Isn't there like 3 of these a day?

i agree with what u said, but we do need him in the division.

Cause the next time we have a truly great welterweight prospect, how are we ever gonna know how good he is?

Even if Mayweather had retired by then, we couldnt say, "well look at how well cotto did against mayweather, he nearly beat him. If this prospect beats Cotto, then he's the real deal" you know?

AND, every division needs a king, and without Mayweather, there is no King.

Which is interesting because we'll have a final 4 type deal to find out who that king is, but even then there wont be a true KING like Mayweather is.

I agree that we are fine without him, but we arent better off either. get my drift...

Ok, I have to ask....what do all the red dots (and green dots) underneath the Vcash thing mean, and why do most of the Mayweather supporters have red instead of green?

PBF is the cancer of boxing.

His fights are boring, and tend to leave PPV buyers feeling cheated.

His fans do not help, tending to treat his fights like fine wine, as though the only 'true' boxing fans enjoy PBF.

I hope he stays retired, so boxing can properly heal from the damage he's done the last few years.

It never ceases to amaze me just how many people hate on Mayweather & it just makes me laugh, cause love him or hate him, even retired you can't get his name out of your mouths, & that why right now he is the best.

As for the topic of the original thread, which I wasn't referring to earlier, I think you're absolutely right. Even in the Cotto/Judah fight they were still talking about him. Now I'm one of those who tend to think Floyd won't take to retirement, but the ww division is full of strong contenders & champs, people should just take him at his word & keep him out of conversations for a while.

I'm not hating I'm saying the same thing you are but in another way. All these other post elude to the fact that Mayweather HAS to fight ABC or XYZ. I'm also saying that he has retired with good money and health. Great for him.

I'm already over it as you can see by some of the matchups I've already eluded to.

I couldn't see any hate in the thread, and he's right, as entertainment goes, the fights are there to be made at 147, without PBF, and without Hatton who is unlikely to move up IMO. I'd love to see any of the names at 147 fight each other, maybe a tournament to decide who is the new champ. Mosley-Cotto meeting the winner of margarito williams?
