Seeing as how I have been "nuthugging" this kid since back before you and 95% of the other people posting today were even here....

I have ALWAYS said that I thought he had the goods, and I have always thought that he has a good shot to beat anyone out there. That was back in the day when Borikua was the only other cat I can remember who shared the same opinion.

Cotto looked un****witable on Saturday night. Relentless, physically strong, mentally strong, skilled and armed to the teeth. His conditioning was insane that night. He's only going to get better too...Mosley...well...

how? he's never fought above 147 his entire life and Mosely was a reknown power lifter in high school who's fought at 154 and against much bigger, stronger opposition. Why on earth would Cotto possibly be stronger than shane? Faster? no Hits harder? naa.

Mosely is a better body puncher, harder puncher, faster, stronger, smarter, more experienced and just an all around better fighter than Cotto in every single facet of the game.

I realize you're a Cotto fan, but I will never buy that. Like I stated if this fight is made.........I'll bet you everything I have.

Shane would **** Cotto up. Shane is a much better fighter than than Zab. Shane has held his own against bigger opponents like Winky, a prime Vernon, Oscar etc. The ring experience and savy, the speed, the strength, the combinations would be too much for Cotto. Shane wouldn't be scared in there like Zab was, because he's been through much worse.

I'd say he's stronger because I have never seen Mosley bull anyone around the way Miguel Cotto has done it with good fighters. Mosley hasn't just overwhelmed undefeated prospects and ex-champions with SHEER strength the way Cotto has. He has used his speed as he has moved up....that';s how I see that.

What makes you say Mosley is a better body puncher now? Becuase he has been around longer and has a good reputation for being a sound hitter to the body? I guarandamntee you that Cotto has stopped or changed MORE fights with his body shots. His left hook to the body is unparalleled right now. Cotto causes a lot of physical damage when he throws to the body...his opponents just can't take it. Quintana, Branco, Torres, Corley, etc etc...all the way into his early career when he'd (literally) re-arrange his opponents rib cages with a body shot. There isn't a better body puncher in the sport in my opinion. I think I have a little support there.

Mosley was a very hard puncher at lower weights, but it's been awhile since he has knocked out a good opponent. If you wanna play the Vargas tip go right on ahead. Vargas was a shell of his former self when Mosley toyed with him. I think Cotto would be able to take Shane's punches if Luis Collazo and several other average opponents who ate his punches could.

Cotto is serious...there isn't TOO much more I can say. You wanna bet if it comes off? Fine...sad that you had to pull that bull**** "nut hugging" (that term is part of why NSB is garbage these days) card though. I done told everyone on this site from day one that I'm a huge Cotto fan and I won't bet against him in this circumstance because I want to prove myself on a boxing website. Same with Toney same with Morales.

Since no one else has said it yet... I thought the interview was quite good despite the fact that is too brief. Mosley is a class-act all the the way and I always enjoy listening to him.
I thought his comments were right on the money to each of the questions asked.

mosley hasn't knocked anyone out in a while because he spent too much time hanging around at 154, bulking up. those guys have better chins and are used to bigger punchers than him. if he'd stayed at 147 where he should have he'd have knocked a lot of guys out. i think though, cotto beats almost everybody else in the div

Mosley should fight someone, maybe Baldomir, Cintrion or Clottey while Cotto takes on Margirito/WIlliams to set up the Mosley/Cotto matchup. **** like this is what makes boxing great.
