    Who has Paul Williams beat?

This guy is getting to much hype in my opinion. His power isnt any good. He hit Walter Matthysse about 32923892389320 times and stopped him on his feet aftyer Matthysse was exhausted from about the 2nd round on. Matthysse was getting at Williams too when he was fresh, but he was just a puncher who lacked stamina. Williams did prove he had a hell of a chin though thats for sure. He doesnt possess any real boxing skills he fights ont he inside a lot. He throws 100s of punches though and keeps very busy, has a good chin, and good stamina it seems. I think he has pretty bad defense though. He hasnt beat anybody to get excited about either. Sharmba Mitchell who he was about 10x bigger than and Mitchell is a shot fighter, and an untested prosepct in Matthysse. He is just extremely tall sao people are excited about him.

I think Margarito will beat him. Im not sure though it should be a very good fight.

I just hope Margarito wins so we get Cotto-Margarito.

Sharmba Mitchell ,the same guy the pound for pound fighter and greatest of all time fighter has fought. I say this in a very sarcastic manner.

His size and length is the reason why nobody wants to fight him. I know he fights inside a lot which could negate that length, but shorter fighters in there best interest probably should duck Williams.

I'm not that impressed by him. A tall ass fighter who doesn't belong at welter(like Margarito) I just think he's too much for Margarito. Throws a lot of punches, but he has no defense. I think Williams will beat Margarito though. If Margarito wins he is the second best welterweight behind Cotto. I'm not putting Floyd in the discussion since he is not active.

This thread had nothing to do with Floyd. It was a tune up for 147, *****.

With Cotto fresh off knocking out Judah and Margarito beating this "big prospect" their fight would be huge. A lot bigger than it would have been had they fought in June as planned.

I've only seen paul williams fight once against that samoan guy on the mayweather undercard last year, and i wasnt' impressed atall, he took 6 rounds to stop a 5 ft 5" former super-featherweight.

He took 6 rounds to TKO that china chinned scrub Santos Pakau who already lost by knockout in his previous two fights and is known for being a light hitter. I would be shocked if Williams lasted all twelve rounds against Margarito.

Thats when I started to second guess his hype as a good fighter. The British broadcast team was really criticizing that performance too. Right now he's a tall, awkward fighter who throws a lot of punches and is fairly exciting. He hasn't done anything yet to prove that he is elite. Nothing even close. And Ill admit I was quick to crown him the next big thing after the Matthysse fight. His reach is probably a pain in the ass, but he doesn't have the power or the jab to keep people off.
