I think Cotto is the fighter with the most potential right now, he would wear down mayweather with his power and determination and mayweather wont fight him because of fear.
he still weighs 147!!! At fight night in the oscar fight he came at 148!!!

This is what Mayweather needs to do, to be called great. Go fight Mosley and beat him, then beat the winner of Margarito - Cotto-Williams, How ever that works out, then go and beat Hatton, then move down and beat Pacman,Marquez, and Juan the baby bull Diaz. now thats a hellava resume. then retired.

"I picked Zab to knock Cotto out early and he almost did that. He just couldn't sustain that attack because he'd been off too long. Cotto's been busy, like he should be."
Hmmm, wasn't PBF floored by Judah?

Yeah that sounds good. Why not? Im not sure about moving down to beat Pacman though. PBFs a bit big to move down that much. Maybe Pac should move up. The more names PBF has on his resume the merrier and better. PBF is a boxer. He is supposed to box, so why not? It wont do his his reputation any harm by beating great fighters.

Floyd's retired(or at least taking time off). End of story. If he says he's hungry again then you can talk seriously.

Also Cotto made the mistake of stopping Judah, which as we know, Mayweather frowns upon.

Had Cotto won a split decision and ran the whole fight Mayweather would have said he was impressed and came out of retirement to fight him.
Yep, i totally agree. Here's my take on Mayweather, he is fast and has great defense but he is so boring. I'm not not knockin his skills and his ability to make his opponents miss;what i don't like about him is that he talks and talks and when it's time to really throw down he avoids contact. He looked great against Corrales but after that he went to a more punch in and get the hell out of the way style. Does anybody think that going 12 rounds with Victoriano Sosa,Philip NDou, beating Henry Brusseles,Arturo GAtti(paper champ,Mayweather's own words)and Mitchell is deserving of the top spot in boxing. Bottom line, Mayweather is a super talent but he is just not an exciting fighter.Winky wright is pure boxer but he doesn't run so is ivan Calderon as was Pernell Whitaker.

A champion is defined by his competition. Not by calling himself the greatest all the time into a microphone. That's okay, PBF will laugh all the way to the bank...but boxing history will not remember him. He will only be known as a talented boxer who avoided all the tough fights in the last stages of his career. He did not define himself by his opponents...looking in the mirror and saying you're better than everyone else does not make you so.

If PBF at the least can defeat Hatton and Cotto before he retires, then he will be given respect.

definately agree! PBF, while being the so-called best, did accomplish great things, I'm not knocking Floyd. 6 world Championships. But check this out...

Mayweather DID NOT clean out any of those Divisions. The Welter Weight Division is the hottest division right now, and PBF must fight...
                      (in no particular order)

                      1) Cotto (WBA)
                      2) Margarito (WBO)
                      3) Cintron (IBF)
                      4) Mosely

Should he beat ALL, and convincingly, no freakin running, then and only then will Floyd Mayweather be remembered as an All Time Great. But avoiding these guys will only hurt his legacy, believe me when I say this. Retiring undefeated, wow, that is an awesome accomplishment. But that word "IF" will always follow his name. Rocky Marciano retired undefeated, 49-0.

Sorry, Pretty Boy Floyd, you will definately be inducted into the Boxing Hall of Fame, just not as an ATG. But one thing PBF fails to realize is that Marciano took heavy shots from huge men weighing over 200lbs. Everyone who voted Marciano into the IBHOF, they know this can take a huge toll on a man. Though his spirit, heart and soul wish to continue...the body just can't take it anymore. Marciano retired cause he had to.

Who really put a hurtin on Pretty Boy?....I mean a real beat down! No body. When it's time to vote you in PBF....people will always remember...you were great, but you weren't the best of the best.

                      UNLESS.....
