Mayweather Not Impressed By Cotto Win

In a recent interview with the New York Times, Leonard Ellerbe, advisor to Floyd Mayweather Jr., told the paper that neither he nor Mayweather were impressed by Miguel Cotto's recent eleven-round TKO win over Zab Judah. Ellerbe said that at this moment in time, Mayweather is standing by his decision to stay retired and has no interest in fighting Cotto. [details]

A great champion is defined by his competition. He does not exist in a vacuum. Yeah Mayweather was paid will for a businessman White Collar sparring session with Oscar, but it does not void the fact that PBF fought Baldomir instead of a Hatton/Cotto/Margarito/Williams/Shane.

A champion is defined by his competition. Not by calling himself the greatest all the time into a microphone. That's okay, PBF will laugh all the way to the bank...but boxing history will not remember him. He will only be known as a talented boxer who avoided all the tough fights in the last stages of his career. He did not define himself by his opponents...looking in the mirror and saying you're better than everyone else does not make you so.

If PBF at the least can defeat Hatton and Cotto before he retires, then he will be given respect.

        Looks like Hatton-Mayweather!!

That would have a lot of stock, with Hatton having beaten Tsyzu (the king at 140 and Mayweather's dream fight) and Castillo (the man who many feel beat Mayweather), and able to pull in 200,000 PPV sells in the UK alone and sell-out the 22,000-seat MEN Arena in two hours. He could probably sell 30,000+ tickets at Manchester City's soccer ground, because the vast majority of Man City fans are Ricky Hitman Hatton fans and Man City have a fan base of 50,000+.

That's bull****.. Judah wasn;t at his best! Judah said the layoff helped him mentally! That's what made him last that long, plus Judah had Floyd hurt and could'nt finish him off. He could'nt even finish off Ruden Galvan (What ever his name was)

Well my point is that they talking **** about Cotto beating a Judah that has just come off a layoff and what does it prove? Mother****ing Mayweather fought Judah when he lost to Baldimor! Then Floyd goes and fights Baldimor! He might not be imppressed with that win, but Cotto would give Maywather a fight im telling you that.

Mayweather was not impressed because Cotto couldn`t run as many laps of the ring as Mayweather did.

Also Cotto made the mistake of stopping Judah, which as we know, Mayweather frowns upon.

Had Cotto won a split decision and ran the whole fight Mayweather would have said he was impressed and came out of retirement to fight him.

ha ha, a lot of people werent impressed with PBF as well, so PBF isnt one who should be talking about being impressed. Id be impressed with PBF if he came out of retirment and beat Cotto and Hatton.

                  Skillz Pay the Billz

Cotto is a true beast and a great champion, but Mayweather is hands down the best. No way Cotto could deal with Mayweather's skillz.
